Me honestly, I don’t care which class really becomes meta. This is because as I proved which my custom druid build the player is the meta. Also I have a kitten nal of all nine classes, and the only one I don’t know how to play or touch much is my warrior. So in other words…. I AM NOT AFRAID!

All that ranting that I’ve said however, what I am afraid of is more lackluster matchmaking system standing in my way. No I will not join a pvp team in which I’d have to dedicate my time to. I’d rather do as I been doing and playing GW2 spvp as a non-competitive casual buddy buddy battle arena, and when I want to get down and dirty and serious with players in a pvp battle arena as a solo queuer go play some Smite.

10/10 Will laugh at GW2’s spvp battle arena mode till Anet make it competitive for all, like other successful eSports have.

I’m simply stating a fact. If you wanna call it backpedaling, so be it. I call it misspeaking. There are classes that are constantly the meta. Ele, Mesmer, Necro. Now revs. One season or one period of time is not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the same classes CONSISTENTLY being at the top of the food chain, not just once along the way with one good build that carries the garbage core class.

I would say warr/guard/thief have been top tier during more metas than nec/mesm, so dunno. In fact, until this few last months, those three classes were meta for a kittenload of time.

Yea, that’s pretty much the case. They were all pretty much meta up until HoT.

This is probably the first time necro has ever been in the meta.

Meditation hammer on the guardian side. It was funny though. The build did exist prior boston but nobody really played it. After people saw what the medi hammer did to abjured everybody and their dog started playing medihammer

What? AH Guardian and thief were meta for years. Shoutbow cele warrior was also meta for atleast 6-7 months.

Hambow warriors

All these were meta at one point.

I forgot that bunker guards actually were, but they did DO anything but hold points. Now you’ve got these classes that can defend a point and wreck your face. Bunker guards were harmless. Same with Hambows, maybe the BUILD was meta, but it was never on par with what was floating around at the time and what we have currently. And lol @ the d/p thief meta comment.
