Its all about the benjamins
They are seperate enity of the game. Spvp you can use glory to buy items to salvage then craft dyes for money. You already earn achievements, titles, and cosmetics as you level up in sPvP. I don’t see a reason to allow you to convert your time invested into PvE items.
Why should you get x content rewards for completing y content? Makes no sense.

I think more people would play PvP if they can get things for the other modes. If you start in PvP you can use your glory to catch up in other modes and do high-lvl content. The only reason they are seperate entities because all your efforts in one mean nothing in the other w/ the exception of laurels. All the titles and cosmetics in PvP have no effect on where you are in the other modes.
The idea that nothing should transfer is keeping PvE/WvW from PvP and vice versa because it means everything they did means nothing

and hopefully something like that happens, PvP rewards are pretty non-existe and without anything to show it making everything feel like a waste of time, specially when you try to transition to PvE,WvW and realize that after hundred/thousands of hours, you got nothing…
we need something like Z-Chest/HA Chests, you felt rewarded just by looking at how many of those you got on a day, and the you could gamble or sell it for a little cash, and HA chest was amazing, allowing players to acquire unique skins and the reward felt right considering how much work it was needed to get there

dyes for money ? oh man… you must really hate your wrist

Exactly and you can earn PvE items for PvP cosmetics (simply cause they don’t impact sPvP). I don’t think it’s a horrible idea at all, I’m just pretty sure that’s not how ANET attended to make the game because other games didn’t operate that way. The daily already gives motivation to achievement seekers to play. Adding in rewards wouldn’t be a bad thing but don’t think it’s intended that you can play sPvP (and potentinally cheat) to gain levels, karma for gear etc. in PvE. in gw1 you earned keys and rare minatures which would increase the flow of traffic to an extent.

Perhaps I’m missing what you are saying or you just need to make sense better…. I was simply implying that you already are rewarded for playing in sPvP, you can convert your glory into Gold through untradable dyes. Didn’t quite notice your top post, but yeah… you get titles and rank finishers which you can wear and use in PvE/WvW. You do get something for your efforts.

lol what I’m trying to say is… making dyes for gold on PvP requires an absurd amounts of time and insane ammounts of clicking. Which are bad for your hands health wise. and unless you’re blessed, it won’t be worth it

It’s not all that terrible, 1 million karma only gets you like 30-50 gold or something. Takes a long time to get 1 million karma through events.
it’s different tho, you can earn karma throught anything, and you’re earning gold as you do so, and even on karma chest is a double click spam
with PvP you have to double click chest, double click salvage, and do that to the 4 pieces you get while having to convince that kitten thing that “you’re sure you want to salvage”, then double click on each of the four infrididents to make the dye, and then forge and open it
it takes at least 18 clicks just to salvage 1 chest, that’s not even adding the MF process which is another 9 clicks. and it requires you to constantly move with the mouse, imagine doing that hundreds of times :/
and very very few dyes are actually worth money, on avg you could be making 14c – 30s per dye ( unless you’re blessed and get celestial/abyss)

really? 18 clicks? I have a pvp salvage kit in my inventory all the time, don’t remember it taking more than a few clicks to salvage each peice and is irrelivant when you do it over a period of time.
yah lol and trust me, once you have hundreds of chest to do it to.. you’ll feel the pain, it’s actually pretty bad for the hand, and even 100ths of chest will only get you a couple of dyes which might be worth nothing
The funny thing is hes not lieing it is actually kittening horrible to salvage everything individually. WTB a salvage all button also what kitten es me off is how the mystic forge is the literal farthest point away from were you get the important pvp mats
