Top comment on this video suggests Keybinds Per Class. I concur with this and hope the developers do, too.
Helseth – a guide to settings and keybinds

Nobody at Anet loves WvW like Grouch loved PvP. That’s what we need, a WvW Grouch, but taller.

Although there is some merit to keybinding guide vids, they are useless a lot of the time because what works for one guy might screw over another. Just listen to what tips are given outside the actual keys and find a setup that works for you.

In addition the skill count of GW2 is so tiny compared to other games that if you’ve played other MMOs it won’t matter. I had around 65 keybinds on my old wow warlock with macros and normal keyboard/mouse. Know some people that were doing 90+ with extra button mice for example.

Keybinds per character would be great. It’s not so bad for utilities, but you can’t switch around weapon skills to a bind you like without affecting every other character on your account. And just allowing us to move skills around isn’t enough still, unless we can move it to literally any spot, which just wouldn’t make much sense. Allowing us to bind our keys based on our character is the best solution, and it’s not hard to implement either. WoW had “Character Specific Binds”, and you could place skills into whatever skill you want. But WoW also didn’t have weapon specific skills, “Character Specific Binds” is really the only way to go.

The setup I use is pretty universal (for me) throughout most MMOs I play. QWERF for my 1-5, T is my heal, 1-4 for utilities and elite, MB3 (middle mouse button) for auto run, MB4 rolls, MB5 swaps weapons, ZXCB for
F1-F4 (I haven’t come across a class I play that needs F4, yet). I keep A and D for strafing and S for reverse. I kept V for interaction.

I use the same setup for most games, barring the ones with cameras that naturally follow mouse movement (tera for example).
