Knowing when to stop
your actually assuming the algorithm that anet made is correctly assessing something as complex as a persons skill level in spvp. You give them too much credit, impossible to say where you belong really its half enemy team comp which is RNG and half relying on teammates which is more RNG
Diamond T5, I guess I’ve met my match. I’ve been dancing around this tier for a week now. I don’t know why, i guess it’s where I belong. Guess this is it. It’s been good PvP.
That you for being realistic. On that note, if you find PvP fun, you should still visit it on occasion.
Keep in mind that lots of smurf accounts propped up so we have had all these new accounts with provisional ratings that lacked the negative weight of their main accounts. With the new accounts you take your lessons learned with you unhindered by past games when they were in a more ignorant state. These accounts obviously flew by to Legend with their clean MMRs.
This convinces me that we need a hard game wide MMR reset since MMR climbs faster if you’re new and it would neutralize the smurfing since the smurfs run over all those with established thousands of games ratings.

I would keep going, just keep looking for things to improve on, when you actually have nothing to improve on you’ll be the best player in the game.

Definitely keep going I was stuck in T5 Sapphire for it seemed 4 weeks or something stupid, on a 50/50 win/loss and it was just a grind. Then out of nowhere I started winning and pushed on through to almost the end of Ruby (I know its a completely different division). It doesn’t at all mean you’ve met your match because the match making system won’t work like that.
