Korean Teams
Pretty sure no one actually told them gw2 is coming out so they’re still playing gw1.
Haha, nice one Lux.

Captain Danjang, SoulWedding and LastOfMaster (Of “The last Pride [EvIL]”) actually played some GW2, but almost no sPvP. LastOfMaster even streamed quite a lot, but when he actually went to play some sPvP, he was like under rank10. ^^’
The Last Pride got sponsored by AZUBU though and they even made a Website dedicated to them and GW2 which stated, that they will start playing once all the necessary Features are in Place. But maybe 2-3 months ago or so, there was a Headline that former Starcraft and Starcraft 2 Progamer “NaDa” and some guys of “The last Pride” were going to start playing World of Tanks together. I heard that this endeavour was a failure though, so maybe, MAYYYYBEEEEE The Last Pride and even NaDa, might start playing GW2, if they really stopped playing WoT and they like how PvP has evolved in GW2.
I know nothing about War Machine though….
In terms of other Asian Guilds, I know that most of “Supernova Jpn [SpNv]” were actually playing, but I haven’t seen them streaming for a while.
The European Guilds aren’t too active as well. I have some of the old Players from Teams like Bruderschaft der Verdammnis, Peace and Harmony, Esoteric Warriors, Storm Bearers etc. on my FL, but most of them haven’t logged in for months…

Is the game out in korea?
Is the game out in korea?
I think so….
Otherwise LastOfMaster couldn’t have streamed it unless he wasn’t in Korea, which I kinda doubt. And this even was several Months ago.
Found sth. cool:
I bet we’ll see them around as soon as pvp beta is over….so we have quite a long time to get ready for it…
Found sth. cool:
They quit a long time ago
gj arenanet
War Machine is playing WvW on Blackgate. I think. Not sure if it’s the same War Machine. They’re korean at the root though.
really bad engineer
Lux dude your joke was bad really… —’
We stopped gw1 3/4years ago.
2) No korean own server but game is released yeah..
3) No we quit Gw2 4 months ago and no come back for a while. Sometimes we log on. We are actually waiting for next games as Neverwinter or Black desert online.
4) wot is a mmofps so… Sc2 or gw aren’t same gameplay…
5) Some WM guys i know stopped gw2 for same reason as It’s not competitive as they wanted to. Same for iQ,iB,EW,rawr,LuM,… said to the top.

There are custom arens now; you guys NEED TO come back and show us how to really play this game!
yeah this game needs Lust Pridu Powerup
Right now is it EU/NA that’s have the best team in GW2. I hope Korean going to start get teams now when Spectator mode it’s on.
Spectator doesn’t fix bad pvp… I’m willing to bet GvG would bring in a ton of GW vets, however ANet refuses to. Most serious pvpers have already quit, too little too late.
#conquestsucks
EU seems to be laughing at NA when it comes to skill, but I can’t confirm who’s better and who’s not. However, I’d like to see TheLastPride get into action. There’s not many teams playing like you guys do (all playing next to each other, always available, etc. etc.).
I’d really enjoy it if you guys came back, because the game will become E-Sports sooner or later! (Almost E-Sports already).

+1
Because we played gw2 well…. 4/5 months before quiting?
But I can say you that we ran tournaments in SBI as we even faced WM .. ie: in November/December? lol
very nice question though. Very interesting.

Too bad. I would have liked to see you guys play at least once to check how good you were.
Guess i’ll never know
Could you log into the game and take a screenshot of your rank? I’d like to see how much you actually played.
Having played with/against EviL, all I can say is that they basically got bored of the game.
They had a core team including Last of Master, and Danjang, Bloodlight Eyes, and 2 more I cannot remember playing tournaments pretty seriously in the beginning. Unfortunately like many GW1 veterans, they just got bored of the game.
All the “Asian teams” did. Supernova Jpn, The Last Pride, some of the War Machine players, Lily all just got really bored of the game’s stale gameplay and metagame, as well as glacial-pace of development. There was a huge exodus at about November, and now they’re all just playing LoL, or SC2 or similar.
The only remaining “Asian team,” that I know of are “Strange World,” which are a Japanese guild.
Regarding their ranks, I’d like to say they were probably about rank 40’ish give or take before quitting.

GW2 is still the exactly the same game…
I’d wait another number of months if not over a year before you really try to pull competitive players back again.
A few more things need to be fixed before it really can hold on to a legitimately competitive scene.
(bad maps, bad balancing, bad meta)
When its kitten gets even just mostly cleared up, I’ll be the first to jump on the bandwagon and shout the kitten out of people to get back to this game.
Till then I’d work on getting a better casual playerbase if I were you.
(rebuilding the game from the ground up if you know what I mean)
Oh, and I get bored allot during class so am compiling a massive list of changes that would make GW2 into actually a GREAT game (having a better group dynamic, especially innately; better to shoutcast/play map; fixing condi/boon situation; rezzing; exc.) even if Anet did just decide to jump on the things… with how slow they go for even the most minor of changes… it would take them years to enact…
Personally, I think Anet is over their heads with just making TPvP survive threw the year…

What about ur coming back if Anet or others sponsors will organize prize money tournaments?
I had the pleasure to fight against you in gw1 in 2005, i was most forming party with " Whats going on [sup]" in hoh i would really like to fight with you again here.
I can’t say. real prize is a thing but game play is another thing. I longly talked with Pyo(danjang) and he’s agreed that game is unbalanced,…we don’t like gameplay that much. Then I can’t tell u if we come back as Im not entire EvIL manager.

do you find conquest boring or the core gameplay? now that there are leaderboards, you guys can at least have decent teams to play against.

didn’t you guys have a gaming house? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJZSX5OPuHM
I remember watching that vid back in October, it was just after the LoL s2 championships where the Azubu LoL team took like 2nd. Very inspiring stuff, do you guys still maintain your sponsorship with Azubu?
I know the skill level of your team started to slip after a few months of only PvEing. The game’s balance isn’t perfect, but it’s nothing “game breaking” by any means. I think the community would rely like to have you guys back.

Is the game out in korea?
It hasn’t released in Korea yet no. The only major territories we’ve released in so far are US and Europe. We do have a few folks in Korea playing, but they’re getting US/Euro versions of the game from vendors outside of Korea to play early.

Korean’s dont stick to games with bad pvp.
D: We want koreans for next patch, should be 1st priority
Koreans are OP, pls nerf them.

no, you just didnt get that sentence… he means that only major reagions where GW2 is released are EU and US, it means there are more major regions, but only in 2 of them GW2 is out, got it?
i wouldnt call australia a major region, as far as popoluation.
I was pretty stoked when I started playing to see EviL and WM getting into GW2. They were the best guilds in GW1 so I knew they would have some crazy tactics and builds running and I couldn’t wait to see what they would do.
So I actually get the chance to face them and… lets just say GW2 isn’t the same as GW1.
I uploaded some screens so you can see my actually fanboyism and then the resulting sadness. No one on my team had heard of these guys and I talked them up like we were about to get stomped and well..

But it is released here in Australia, thus we are official a mere minor territory

NOT RELEASING IN KOREA? ESPORTS? what is this……

srsly I don’t get this
edit: is it the fact that they don’t have korean language in the game?

You wonder why this isn’t esports.
Koreans make games esports, and this game isn’t even in korea.
How did starcraft become esports? Major tournaments in korea.
How did GW1 become such a huge hit? Koreans were playing it and dominating Europe and America in pvp.
When people think of esport gaming conventions, where thousands will goto to watch people play esport games, they don’t think of America, they don’t think of Europe, they think of asia and specifically korea.

(edited by uberkingkong.8041)
So pretty much GW2 gotta step up on pvp stuff in order to get that Esport title right? It’s probably going to be awhile though. Then Heart of the Mist will be pack again.
I play from Korea. My students haven’t even heard of GW2 – except for one ex pro gamer, but he doesn’t know anyone who plays. Not likely to happen until a Korean language version is made.
lol…very sad

Maybe ncsoft doesnt want to sell gw2 in korea because they have other projects there?
Maybe ncsoft doesnt want to sell gw2 in korea because they have other projects there?
This is my guess. They released Blade&Soul in Korea last year, and probably don’t want their own games to compete with each other. Which kinda sucks, because I personally hate that game :P
