Is there any way that I can get shoulder armor for my PvP character without going into PvE?

Given the dev’s attitudes lately, I’m sure one of them will come in here and justify spending 10+ tomes of knowledge to unlock your shoulder slot.

Yes thank you for asking this because I’m not wasting tomes on a level 2 character I have used for the past 2 months in PvP. I don’t wanna level up a guardian in PvE when I can use the tomes on another character. As of right now because the armorsmith sales stuff based on level.. I can’t even get a helm because I need to be lvl 10.

Im lucky I’m a guardian…I have beginner’s shoulder skins haha. WTB Headpiece though….

Is this April 1st? To many trolls in this update. Wtf is this madness?

I have two thousand kittening hours on my engineer that’s level two. Not only do I no longer have the outfit I wanted on all of my characters, I also can’t use a helmet or shoulders in pvp until I level.

You guys really screwed this one up.

Keep in mind that if you do not have shoulders or a helm, the base stats are still applied. You only lose the looks.

This is PR disaster.
Spent thousands of hrs in PvP to be treated like nothing. Buy tomes was bs before glory removal too. 1 char to lv 80 = 15.6Gold which is hard for someone who only PvP. In fact, most of the glory items that are tagged with gold are bs. Only PvE-ers will benefit.

PvP is a mini-game to be played by PvE players, similar to Keg Brawl and Crab Toss!

Tomes of knowledge don’t drop like candy from rewards chests – in the 2-3 hours I’ve been sPvP’g, I just received 1. For 1 level…

The point is in the ease of what sPvP was – a minigame for a PvP’r – Now it is a headache to have what we had before on our level 2 alts that we’ve been playing for half a year (with the gear we’ve had for half a year).
It’s a kick in the kitten to log in to your noob armor after that much time and get told to “level up.” by the above red-name responder.

If you guys have any karma at all (can’t remember how much but its not a lot) you can port to your server’s home border land after finishing the starter quest and buy a full suit of armour from the Karma Trader [Equipment Trader] standing beside the Laurel Merchant. It takes maybe 5 minutes to finish the first quest of a new character and I am fairly sure its less than 1000 karma for the shoulders and helm. You’re welcome.

You’re right, I had 11. I’m lucky I had two experience scrolls as well to level my chars.

It took me a full hour to respec and regear and level all of my characters (4 of which were already 80). That was the point and I believe you missed it. It could have been worse.

waited 6 mths for this patch which was hyped. is this patch good? I would say no… nothing much changed and PvPers are receiving all the bad ends

Oh, well that makes sense! I was worried because I thought I would have less armor then people with shoulder pads, if it’s only the looks then I can see why they did this. This seems like quite interesting character progression :D
