Yes it does happen a lot, and it’s extremely annoying. And in my experience foefire seems to lag the most often, could just be my imagination though.

Pretty much, have been a big annoyance for our team aswell, specialy for ppl who play speccs/proffisions that rely on reactive defense to survive.
Yes in prime time some skills become totally unreliable. I.e. charge abilities stop charging to the target and stop you in the middle between your position and the target, sometimes with humorous results.
in last 3 days i experienced about 3-5 seconds of lag (not joking).
it is not fun losing matches and dieing because game lagged and you couldnt move/skill.
Any news on this? I occasionally get lag for brief periods, 5 mins here and there, but today has been utterly ridiculous, absolutely unplayable.
Yeah the game is freezeing in tpvp alot.. All my friends with different isp and comp setups are experienceing the same issues especially on legacy of the foefire in tpvp
Playing on Ring of Fire (altought i think it doesnt matter as matches are per datacenter)
Last week we had a hudge lagspikes on Sunday only on Forest of Niflhel map. Yesterday we had same lag spikes (3-5 sec) on Legacy of Foefire map.
Its strage that other two maps are totaly fine (forest and khylo were without lags whole Sunday). So i believe there is something wrong with one of the servers or the one that is actually workign with Foefire map.
Hope this feedback will help.. and at same point – for other posters, please give exact informations (when, what map, how offten) so Anet can take the information from it and react.
Me nad my team noticed the same. We’ve been laging on Legacy of the Foefire, 5+ times per game, everybody in the same time (voice chat check) on few different ISPs.
Big lag today…because of the patch??
The game lagged badly last night 3-5 secs in tpvp and spvp , im hoping it was due to the patch. Will see how it plays today.

It’s not just the EU servers, the US ones are suffering the same. I’m from the UK but playing on a US server and during EU prime time the lag appears there just the same. It doesn’t seem to matter where you are from as the yanks in guild experience it just the same as I so it’s not a routing/ISP problem and seems to be on ANET’s end.

I notice this too, over the weekend I seemed to get a LOT of lag spike on Legacy of the Foefire map, other maps were mostly fine.
Yea me and my friends had this problem past week, and we run different computer setups and different isps. Legacy of the foefire is the most painful one with major lag spikes while the other maps were ok. It’s also a tournament issue as well, legacy for some reason work better in hotjoin. What is the problem here?
Right now. Tourney team. Unplayable. Lagging, can’t use skills or swap weapons. Got booted and reconnected. Nothing changed.
Edit: completely unplayable. Everyone in ts saying the same thing.

Can’t play a crap…from tpvp to hot join…so considering i do almost 99% pvp tell me wtf can i do…yesterday night i left pvp cause it was lagging as hell and i decided to have a break in wvsw, guess what also LA was lagging like sh… and made me log out and in some times, also teleporting to another place didn’t work…basically i was stuck in LA and cannot enter wvsw, move away or even go back to mists….i logged out and stopped playing, and today while not having issues in the world as soon as i start something in pvp i start lagging like yesterday…fix your sh anet

i am happy to see i am not the only one, i’ve been experiencing issues for the last 2-3 days in europe. Thing is that my teamates seemed to do fine i just felt sometimes i lagged and got a frezze for 5-10 seconds to even some minutes, when this happened it was better to alt f4 and launch the game again… this in the middle of a tournament lmao.
Mumble was working fine so i don’t get why gw2 doesn’t …

My experience is similar. Foefire should be called Lagfire or Foelag.
