For the last couple of days (I’m guessing since stroy part 2 came out) there are huge lags on all PVP servers for just about any1.

Are you aware of this issue and is something being done?

Glad there is a thread about this. I don’t normally lag but when I started to lag quite badly at times over the last few days, I initially thought it was just my internet or something as it used to be bad. However, today I was playing and at the end of the match, someone asked whether anyone else experienced a 5 sec lag and just about everyone said yes so I now wonder if it’s really a problem on my end :S

Weird 5 sec laggspikes that apply to the entire soloq game i played tonight. Everyone had the same issue.

I never used to lag, I have been lagging lately skills not going off and sometimes not stomping when I press the buttton

Confirmed. I noticed about 1s delay on my skills last night, then sticked in Stillness and had to /dance to be able to move. Lag spikes of 4-5 secs, especially when in team fight with many visual effects. In the meantime there was no lag on Ts, so it was only the game.

Also one of the team was standing like forever in the loading screen and we always had to play the first 1-2 mins of the match without him.

Confirmed, this makes the PvP even worse than it already is.

All my team is lagging right now, only while playing soloq or teamq.

Yeah it’s been more laggy in the last couple of weeks. I thought maybe it was just my ISP, but all my guildies have been complaining of the same thing, and some of them live in different countries than me. Something up with ANet’s servers, or maybe the latest update changed up some network code? Or is Cthulhu chewing on the transatlantic cable?

Does this frequently happen around large patches? Was most obvious in the middle of the week.

happened twice to me yesterday around 4pm gmt+1.
It’s a weird kind of lag where everything is fine than suddenly you are left behind for like 5 seconds then the damage catch up and it looks like you just got one shotted.
First time i was on my guardian and i thought someone bursted me but the damage recap just showed people wailing on me, took me a while to realize that it was a lagspike.
Second time the client lost its connection to the server after around 5 seconds of lagging behind (people running against wall, skills not firing, this sort of stuff means you are experiencing a lag spike).

Can we get any dev respond to this?
I get that pve guys don’t mind lagging that much as thier face is smashed to keyboard anyhow but for PVP this is game breaking

Confirmed, in two times I even had my skill icons flashing intermittently followed by a 5 seconds frozen time. I only did experience such effect in WvW a year ago or so, but never in PvP.

Similar issues as this guy described. Oddly enough, I don’t get these in hot joins or team queue, just solo.

Looks like devs/anet not care about pvp atm :/ I just got dc cos these lags and near end tournament so no points at all from match.

Think it’s time have break from pvp until they really have fixed this if they can.

Confirmed. still LAgging and Constant Disconnect .. only in pvp.

I take it back. Recently had this in team queue where 4/8 people disconnected.

Fix you kitten anet pvp is already full crap mode we don’t need lags too, what’s the point of announcing fancy tournaments for money while we can’t even play one kittening match without lagging like kitten? Get a clue already

Exactly. It becomes worse.

Yesterday in two matches 5 sec+ lagspikes and 2 dc´s. Pls take a look at it Anet. Lags only in PvP-Matches. WvW and PvE are fine.

confirmed not only yesterday on a regular basis. 5 sec simultaneous lags for all players on the map plus the occasional DC. occurred in tQ and sQ. don’t play hotjoin, so no idea if it’s there.

Discconected and lagging in spvp today.

issue still not fixed.
