For what i´ve seen lately:
1- Condi builds are just better, not enough cleanses, builds are usually tougher based on the old weak condi system, giving condition builds more survivability. Not to mention the condi damage is ridiculous, burn guardian can easily 1 shot you with a nice 19 stacks of burning, and still take a punch.
2- My last 30 matches (yes, counted) were 100% against premades, mostly dragons, while I joined in solo q and had people with 300 AP and once a 50AP kitten who kept asking about runes.
3- Why isn´t toughness reducing condition damage as well? Just why exactly.
4- You might say :“well why dont you form a premade?”, answer is simple, some of us dont have the time. We get home from work, want to play, dont give 2 kittens about being a Pro, just want to play the game and have fun (remember fun?) But dealing with this premade /lack of grouping balance is just not worth it.

The wife and I used to duo and have tons of fun in spvp, back in the days of the pirate ship map whatever it was called, and we ve been trying different builds / classes until HoT hit.
Now thanks to the idiotic mechanics you implemented she quit, i barely log in and all because of your lack of planning. We bought the game for one reason only :" Not a Korean like grind fest like Lineage 2 or Aion", remember? back in the day when you said you guys were building the holy grail of MMOS? Well you failed, now theres even people farming soloers on PVP just for the grind you implemented.

So thanks Anet, but you have turned one of the best games I´ve ever played, into nothing but a common /boring mmorpg.

PS: One last rant, what the hell is your problem with noise reduction?! Just implement that on WVW where HW resources count. Why exactly is my ele spitting fire with “Fireball” on spvp / raids?

I’ll only comment on your third question. Toughness is SUPPOSED to counter high power (definitely not the case). The counter to toughness is supposed to be condition damage. The counter to condition damage is supposed to be vitality (certainly not the case with all of the torment stacking revs and burn guards). The counter to vitality is supposed to be either toughness to negate the damage they have left after investing in vitality or power to shred through the health (again, not the case).

As it stands now, the only difference between condi and power burst is that condi deals its damage a second or two after power but the condi user is allowed to stack health since his damage relies on a single stat. The issue with the game is a very fundamental lack of logic. Its mechanics have no backbone to be built around. The only stats that matter are the damage stats, where all your defense is meant to be tied to actively defending through w.e youve built towards, but (and this is especially true after 6/23), you can take a lot more on your builds than you were previously allowed to. Naturally, this isn’t a bad thing since things that weren’t viable are (or should I say were) viable.

I could go on, but I’ll spare you and I the time and tell you to either take what you’ve been given or move on. Its obvious that the people in charge of balance are totally incompetent or simply have a vision of fun and balance that vastly differs from the majority of the players. Hell, I’m sure the top tier players have a list that’s a mile long in regards to balance, but they keep playing because of their competitive drive and what I can only call a love of the game (for lack of a better term, naturally).

the problem lies in the evolution of condi damage, it was meant to be DoT sustained damage that ignored toughness in order to counter tanks , the problem is that now we have Condi Burst wich shouldnt even be an existing term.
