Latency and profession play style
How are you seeing your latency in game?
ty for the responses so far, more input is welcome ….. waiting
I’d suggest something that doesn’t require quite as much movement on top of the target… I’d say to stay away from a Ranger with a sword for sure. The way I play a ranger with a sword, requires constant movement, and any bad placement would result in a miss.
My suggestion would be a longbow and a beefed up pet. In all honestly, you pet can do a of the work and you can cover him with some nice damage.
With a high of a latency I might go with Shortbow Ranger. Can stack up bleeds rather quickly, and you have your pet to help you out with things. Your auto-attack will always fire, so you don’t have to worry about lag so much there.
Requires positioning and most of his damage mitigation is well timed dodge/evade &cc usage so SB ranger might be a bad choice.
I think engi might be the best bet given he is the “toughest” natively and has a couple of builds that are spam based.
You know Arenanet has produced a broken game when you have to take this into account when deciding to pick a profession. Ugh.
this person is deciding for an extreme case. most people would just ignore that and play whatever they want. of course, most people don’t play games with 200 ms latency…..
Roll ranger if you have latency issues. Theives are everywhere but you can be successful with one no matter your latency. But don’t roll one for my sanitys sake, ATM theives are like kitten roaches.
