Leaderboard points system vs MMR-based
The only reason I can come up with as to why we’re stuck with this new system is that it gives less experienced players a chance to win the rewards at the top of the leaderboard (glorious hero’s armor, mini llama), but why should this affect the only way players have of seeing where they stand in comparison to the rest of the players?
I’m fine with having some sort of reward system that rewards hard work, but please keep this separate from the real leaderboard.
Imo new/unexperienced pvp’ers should NOT belong over better, experienced and active pvp’ers on a Leaderboard by a longshot..
Either make it back pre-December 2014 LB or as mentioned above, seperate them.

Current leaderboard gives baddies bragging rights when they have absolutely no right to do so. I was with a very bad turret engi once, who just camped home the whole match and complained “wtf is wrong with my team?! Can’t even cap a single point?” I was like “says the home-camping turret engi” He replied “shut up, I’m currently top 25 on leaderboards”. And I was like “You made us 4v5 the whole match you little kitten! Top 25 my kitten” Yeah that was frustrating.
We have these types of players in top 25 now when in fact they shouldn’t even be in top 1000!

If they revert it to pre-dec ladder randoms are gonna qq cause they can’t do kitten, and it’s pretty safe to say that anet loves randoms…
They gave turrets to randoms just to let them do something even if they don’t even know kitten are they doin and made ladder farm-based so this is how it’s supposed to be i guess, just stop giving kitten to ladder already…they not gonna change it anyway
Real funny thing is that they are still talkin’ about esports while just looking at first page of their official ladder you see nothing but totally unknown ppl…looks legit to me

You could reward the people who play a lot by doing a Seasons Reward Track of some sort, or like WvW seasons and have Achievement stuff. And revert back to a more skill based leaderboard. Everyone would be happy.

What I heard from Phantaram atleast is, that he dont even give the LB any attention since he still thinks it the same as last time. Could be why the pro players are not on top because they simply dont care.
And future. They allready got the rewards most likely.
Dungeons being about how fast you clear then compared to being able to clear them makes me sad.
I think the only argument for our new ladder is that anet can reset it frequently without touching mmr. Everything else works against it.

Doesnt sound that weird to you, top players NOT caring about leaderboard when pre-December, it was all they had, really? (outside esports)
