hey, was just wondering if theres a chance of resetting the leaderboards? all the top 10 people are basically just using second accounts and maintain their top 10 status but they dont actually play on those characters at all. If your not playing you shouldnt be top 10, seems fair to me. Only person who ive seen in top 10 for solo que leaderboards that actually has earned his way is "Shad’’ GG man but the rest of them please just play on your mains or perhaps we need to think about permanent decay so theres a chance for others to get to the top with out having to go 20-0 when your often with people who arent at the same level. While there are improvements that can definitely be made to the leaderboard and matchmaking, I don’t think a reset does anything but recreate a lot of the initial matchmaking problems.

Actually the top 10 (eu) are playing multiple times per week, only symbolic is afk since team paradigm has a break or something.

Board doesn´t mean kitten tho since it´s not working correctly and you can even lose rating without losing and drop behind players that didn´t play.

@ decay : when a decayed player comes back he will get his mmr as rating points and will take over rank1.

I think he is talking about soloQ. Xerrex has 150 games, Shad has 300. For the rest, the top 10 has 20 games at max. How is this even fair. SyncQ 20 games with some good players and you are top10 for ever and ever. Meanwhile I am losing rank due to 4v5s.

actually the leaderboard prevents people from playing so they don´t lose rating, this is not helpful at all

Decay should be permanent. And should start after a day. And the leaderboards should be reset monthly with a winner of each team q and solo q getting something like 4k gems. Unless all this is done then there is no point. Each part of this doesnt work without the other being done. You cant have temporary decay. That is simply the worst idea ever.

I like your idea of a leaderboard reset and reward system. I don’t know how this would be implemented but I do like it. This would mean we could have Seasons, which is something I definitely endorse.

The idea of a reward is a great idea, but I don’t know what a good reward would be, whether it be a title like “Season 1 Champion” or just something as simple as gold/gems, or maybe even some sort of skin. I think the reward should definitely be something that could show other players that you were top of the leaderboard though.

I think a monthly reset would be a bit too often though. Maybe like a quarterly reset, or probably something a little bit longer would be ideal in my opinion.

Adding some sort of a playoff system for top players/teams could be interesting too, if only to offset the possibility of a team/player winning due to a possibly easier path to the top for whatever reason.

Yeh decay needs to be permanent. It amuses me that some of the anet people were championing all that they have introduced. The problem is these things are just flat out not working right now. Leaderboards are broken so that isnt a feature they can claim to of added. I only count working features (map rotation works tbf) as added features. Leaderboards is like a beta version which never gets improved or anything
