Leaderboards not mattering has killed this game.

Currently this is what happens:
You form a premade but it is never serious, never tactics, no serious comp

Why is this? Because most games are a total joke and easy.

Then you come up against someone taking it serious (once every so often) and you lose. Which is no fun.

Basically this games competitive scene as far as in-game has been destroyed. You can’t get any fun out of this game….at all. It just sucks because nobody forms teams or cares about winning because the leaderboards are a total joke.

Leaderboards must show who the best players are. Originally I liked the new leaderboards because they were a grind and that was good. But the effect on the game has been awful.

Dont expect any new players to get into the esports world because it is impossible with team queue in this state.

The new leaderboard system rewards quantity and ignores quality. That’s the exact opposite of what a leaderboard should be.

It’s kinda the same way as League though.. the more you play the more you will likely get a higher rank. Granted that League’s system is a little more accurate, it’s no different for how time-based ranking system is.

I think skill groups would be so much better than a ladderboard.

What’s dumb is that you gain the same number of points after a match if you’re 1st on the leaderboard or 50%.

Not even worthless lamas this time…i’m disappointed, but looks like there’s some crazy pve guy still farming it even if it’s totally pointless…ranked que it’s more like some sort of dungeon atm (Also considering average team’s level there, i bet many mobs are harder to kill than those condi mesmers and thieves spamming hs), except with way less rewards….unranked it’s like…well…mining ores? If someone bothers bout ranked you don’t even need a premade…3que is usually more than enough, you may loose vs the occasional good team but 8 times out of 10 you’re just gonna get ppl with no clue at all

This is a hundred percent true. I hope the results the got from the test season help them improve the LB, because a lot of players like the no-grind philosophy in GW2 pvp, and the current LB are against this philosophy.
I also hope next season gives more rewards, starting from 70% all the way to the top players! This way, you’d always be motivated to bring your A game to reach the next level of rewards.
