I play ele in pvp, and it feels like ele and engineer are the least played classes in tourny pvp.
maybe I am wrong and there are many ele out there (if i am wrong please say so)
anyway, why I don’t see people play ele as much as necro / thief?

if you think other classes is the least played, please reply I wanna see opinions

No. Ele is the least. 0% in MLG.

So this just concludes that it’s not just one class, but possibly 2-3 classes. Unless we have “proof” that can down play this or vice versa.

Ele. I still see loads of mesmers, who are supposedly bad, but eles are a rare beast. Probably because you can get the same results by just autoattacking on a spirit ranger as an extremely well played ele.

This sums up a lot of things. Ele has always been about trying 3x harder to achieve the same (or worse) result. At high level tournament, where the skills are mostly equal, it makes no sense at all to play a handicap class like Ele. It makes no sense to have to try harder while you can just play other easier classes. The risk/reward ratio for Ele is too high, it’s not worth it.

I find hotjoin/custom arena is very different than tourney.

heck even solo vs team Q is different.

You see less eles in team Q than solo for example…eles seem to hold up fairly well in solo because speed matters a lot. In fact I think if you wan to be successful at solo Q , play a bunker, or play a fast class.

And few mesmers…. ANd in teamQ atm you see more eles than mesmers… And usually the teams with mesmers lose more than the teams with eles.

Quality thieves are the rarest class I’ve seen in solo queue/hotjoin. O_o

Ele is strong as are mesmers. It just doesnt fit into this meta well.

I barely see any eles in team q at my rating and when I do it´s because they players are not versatile enough or just too lazy to reroll.

There are way more mesmers than eles

Well considering i play with an ele, mesmer, wqrrqir, ranger, and engi (that being me) pretty much everytime i play this game I have to say i don’t see many gaurds.
