I was just wondering what people think is the least played profession in sPVP?

The stats I’ve seen say Mesmer is but yet I see a lot of mesmers lately and not a lot of warriors.

Any thoughts?

I’d say Ranger honestly. That is the class I notice least as a Necromancer. Thief and Mesmer seem to be the highest amount on my server.

Main class I would say : Mesmer, Guardian and maybe Warrior or Thief
The one I see the least : Elementalist, Engineer

Least played class? Thief.

i’d have to say engineer… i see tons of thieves, mesmers, and guardians (kinda follows the stereotype pretty closely actually), recently a huge amount of warriors, and plenty of eles/rangers mixed in.

I actually collected data on this a few weeks ago. I sat in the WvW loading zone and counted people as they came through. This is what I got.

Thief is by far the most popular in hot-join. You will always have at least 3-5 on every team.

Least I’d say is ranger. The class is in pretty bad shape and it doesn’t really fill any niche.

Popular : Mes, Ele, Guard, Thief

Least: Engineer?

Engineers, because they take more skill than most professions to play.

PvE and WvW will distort the numbers as the classes that have a hard time in spvp/tpvp are popular classes.

I see few rangers and thats a real comment on their power level because ranged pet classes are popular in all MMOs

WvW? Thieves, cause they’re perma invisible

WvsW is not pvp man. It’s just a semi intelligent mob pve, infact it falls under pve skills

In tpvp (if you go by qp), warriors and rangers seem to be the least represented. Its a completely different story in hot joins though.
