Solo Arena, map randomization and the leaver penalty are all coming at the same time.

Now this may be to soon! However I do not believe punishment is going to solve the 4v5 problem at hand. When did punishment ever solve anything?

The fix we are all looking for when a 4v5 happens is for the team with (5) to have 1 member autoequalizer’d (I call it anyway) to the bench and so that player doesn’t get bored rotate them in as a teammate dies (also allowing them to spectate).
I wouldn’t mind a 4v4 every once in awhile.

Ok so I don’t know what the penalty may be again speaking to soon probably but I’ve been afk once for half a match because my keyboard broke at the time so I had to going raging through my place to find another one!
I was in the game but afk up to about 250pts and was unable to click the ready button.
My team having to 4v5 did Ok. Then when I returned, we almost won getting to 400 pts but there is a way to fix this!

Solution: If someone doesn’t click ready Autoequalizer them! Making it a 4v4
So Now you have 1 AFK (who didn’t check ready) and 1 who is ready to get rotated in when a teammate dies.
Now this could be where the penalty may come back in to place to prevent some odd team that favors 4 teams and having your own 5th player afk.
I mean thats how it should have been in the 1st place.
Or If someone doesn’t check ready throw someone from the Q in their place.

The Qs can be long (having people forget when they are watching cat videos tabbed out on youtube [I don’t know why everyone afks]) and very rarely ever even place you in any sort of bracket or equal ranking.
-So now Q’s could be longer with 3 different Q’s. (hotjoin, solo, team)
-Ranks will spread out more because less teams will be playing. Addition of solo Qs to teams.
-Anyone with a friend will have to wait and spam for 3 more people and then wait in the Q because the lfg isn’t great.

But somehow this will draw more people back to PvP? Maybe who knows….

Deserter penalty will solve things. It’s been proven to work in other games and it will work here as well.

Is the debuff account-wide or only character? How will it work with private arenas and the like?

What games and who did the tests to prove it?
-Your still going to find people who leave and that means you’ll still have 4v5s! Blizzard games had people leave matches all the time cause it didn’t matter/or afk’d/ or botted.
-Simply turning it into a 4v4 solves everything until the player clicks ready.

2nd It would have to be account wide just like your ratings are.
And I don’t see this being in hotjoin or private arenas too many specific types; dueling games and such and I doubt they will add penalty to the options when creating an arena.

It won’t solve thing but it will reduce thing. It work on real life and it will work in game. Naught child deserve punishment.

Eh maybe I just think this would make things better since we are without any real group finder in game for pvp

Why would solo que need a group finder?

On topic, just about every competitive game out there punishes leavers and afkers. My only issue is that it’s a deterrent but the other 4 team players still take a rating hit for losing 4v5.

If I choose to play with 1 of my friends I am forced to find 3 more for a group.

There would be no need for punishment if they just made it a 4v4. Everyone would be happy that each team would atleast have some sort of equal footing
or to throw someone from the Q in as the match started if one of your teammates didn’t check ready.
Simple fixes that noone understands :/ and ya the rating loss sucks

when system is fine there will be no problem for the normal playerz

something like:
- leave a game get 3 day banned from Q + get 1 point on your account saved
- do it 3x and account is marked as leaver and will only q with other leavers until he do 100 games without leaving (=-1 point so still have 2)

simpel – hard – but fair for everyone

lol I doubt the leaver penalty is over an hour. Anet would never do something that drastic.

Doing something that drastic would totally be stupid. Sometimes, guess what, people have to leave for IRL reasons and they don’t need a 3 days ban rofl.
If you read carefully, you’d have seen that it only applies to people who leave repeatedly, which is a good thing

yes they wont and thats the reason why after the patch ppl still will make mimimimimi here in forum cause they have to play 4v5 matches
when ppl dont care for 1 hour ban than they will leave
whats 1 hour? there are a lot player doing just match before going to work or going to sleep or whatever and when its 50:300 or something they just say “ye wtf so i go off now – the 1 hour is over when i wake up” ^^
