Dear PvP-Community,

since there is the option to play tounament games in 5v5 I went playing in there because its much more fun to play with teams that always got 5 players. Eventhough lately its seems that a behavior called “ragequiting” starte to apear much more. just today i lost like 10 games because always someone leaves. Its not even fun to win against an enemy team that got quiters.

In my opinion thehre should be massive penaltys for quiters because they got the oportunity to play hotjoin. In Gw1 they were not allowed to play PvP for 1 hour and if they continued doing it they were even banned fpr like 1 to 3 days. Something like thet would be very helpful.

Second problem: Lowlevel players. Why are players below level 10 alowed to play tournaments in the first place? Just yet i lost a game because i got 2 level 1 players and 1 level 2 player in my team and they tought they are awesome because they “already reached level 80 in PvE”. Some restrictions there would help. Level 10 is not much and reached very fast but it helps so that players get an idea how to play the game before they join tournaments and ruin everyones ranking.

Same problems here. Last five games lost. 3 times played 4vs5 and the other two games with low levels. This makes really really no fun!

So christmaspoo I agree with all of your arguments. A special level cap for tournament maybe would solve this problem with the low level players. They interrupt the whole playflow. Cause of that I got a headache and will quit tournament for now.

And the other point with this * leavers, afk-people, … . Guys pls pls pls go for this problem! Like in GW1 or other penalties like bans for a special time or negativ rankpoints or or or … just do anything against this pain!

I really love GW2 and I hope this will go on but we will see. Now it`s your turn =)

The solution is simple: leaver = 2 hour penalty.

Players inflicted with leaver penalty can still enjoy PvE, WvW, and hot join PvP. They just cannot queue for tournaments. If ArenaNet is serious about advancing GW2 as an e-sport, it is important that matchmaking rating is kept as accurate as possible. Leavers contaminate the MMR of all 5 players on the team, and the winning team gets a boost in MMR that both distorts the accuracy of their skill-to-rating ratio, and is an unsatisfying win, too.

tl;dr One leaver affects the gaming experience of 10 players negatively. Accurate MMR is important for development of e-sports, and one leaver distorts the MMR of 10 players.

if you are a top 100 player why would you even want to get another acount? anyway, in othergames (e.g. League of Legends) you got to reach max LvL first. Now you say: But thats no MMO; Then i say: Then look at WoW…
lets just not start that way. It takes forever and we wont reach a point

+ if you are a top 100 player and you get 2 level 1 by random and you lose a game against like rank 3k or worse you are gonna be realy mad. Just try to imagine.
