Woop Woop, got to Legend with Core Necro yesterday all solo. Thought I’d share.

Also kitykittymeowmeow said I have to be Legend to be a caster. Can I be a caster now?

How did you find the journey?

I’ve never delved too much into Necro myself (even though back in the day I was hardcore Necro in GW1) but I’ve seen a lot of people say that reaper fixes a lot of the core necro issues.

I’ve never delved too much into Necro myself (even though back in the day I was hardcore Necro in GW1) but I’ve seen a lot of people say that reaper fixes a lot of the core necro issues.

It’s harder to beat thieves as a Reaper. Because our attacks are slower. Instant fear from Core DS makes it easier to start combo chains or to interrupt other people, longer fear from DS makes downing 1 target pretty much guaranteed if used at the right time. I love it and no one can take it away!

It’s harder in team fights because 10,000 stuns will come your way and Reaper shroud deals with that, but I’ve found other ways too alleviate my lack of stab through directly countering certain classes’ abilities. And as long as your team has your back, you’ll win.

Congrats on legend! I know we have seen each other in games a lot and you do really well on core necro. You are just as useful as most reapers I see even though the spec itself isn’t as strong. Going against you forced me to learn what all the core skills do again because I had no idea what they even were before I started seeing you, lol.

So what role did you do with it? what were good and bad matchups you found?

So what role did you do with it? what were good and bad matchups you found?

Good Matchups were Warriors, Thieves (that aren’t staff), Rangers, Engies, Necros, Dragonhunters. Bad Match-ups were Mesmers, Revs, Staff Thieves but I need specific utilities to take care of those guys and sometimes you can’t take those utilities because you prefer to counter a different set of classes.

I mainly focused on 1v1s and +1s. Occasionally popping into teamfights to help burst down the Ele or to try to shutdown the Warriors/DHs.

Congratulations! That’s impressive. And, you only had to play…… Holey, kitten dragon balls! 577 GAMES!

All joking aside, good job.
