Let's discut about the meta.
I think we will get more of an idea once ranked starts up, but yeah what you say seems pretty accurate, not sure if that can be called the meta though.
what you see doens’t mean they are balanced or not.
It’s not a flame.
Just saying that somebody just play his class ( not the “most powerfull”).
Or maybe sometimes plays the “daily class” one.
I play Thief, and sometimes happens to be in party with anothe one. and one in the opposite team. which means 3 thieves out of 10 characters.
But usually the team with 2 thieves ( or zerk mesmers, which are kinda like thieves ) lose the game.
btw, i usually see:
-Guardians ( usually 3/4x )
-Necros ( Usually 2/3x )
-Thieves/Mesmers/Hunters/Revenants ( usually 1/2x )
-Eng/Elementalists/Warriors ( usually 1x, but not all 3 in the same game. it’s rare i mean )
I agree we should see the season starts before claiming something about the best clas combinations, thought some classes are cleary better than others.
Or at least we should see come tournament ( ABJ vs ORG for an instance ).

Chronommancers aren’t widely represented because the new elite profession is very different in comparison to its base class.
We need time to treat it as an entire new profession and work around its skill ceiling, but believe me when chronos are ready you will be kissing their glamorous kittens.
Actually I think the order of the most popular classes played is pretty much bang on. That’s what I’ve been seeing in unranked too. I think it comes down too people choosing the highest burst classes and the very mobile hard to hit classes (that can also do high burst). I main chrono, and yes it is pretty strong, definitely stronger than standard mes, but not as strong as the top classes when it comes to damage and sustain.
I think the main weakest of Mes is condition removal, not helped by the buff to condi application, damage and stacking limit increase. If you want decent condition removal you have to pick a particular trait line, and that means gimping your damage. Probably equal to limited condition removal would be phantasms/clones (the main source of mes damage) dying pretty much to AoE as soon as they are created, lowing burst potential. Also power mes doesn’t have the sustain of the top elite classes. All this adds up to is a lower general damage and sustain class that requires more effort and skill to kill some of the other elites. Chrono is definitely viable, but is suffering from an outdated class philosophy. Basically there are easier classes to play that are more rewarding for less effort, especially for new players.

I really haven’t been seeing that many revs when it’s not the daily. I went a few matches the other day without seeing a single one.
