Let us Prioritize our Cleanses?
Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
There are so many issues with conditions…
So many other things I’d like to see happen so condi’s fall more towards medium (at best!!) dmg but mainly debuffs…
Anyways, since Anet has shown no will to do that…
This is a lil nifty, it’d be a nudge towards helping out ‘coping with crap condis’
Whether or not its worth doing really depends on how Anet has their cleansing coded, it could be obscenely easy, could be a pain in the kitten .
Seems like these guys don’t have some of the sharpest coders, so they probly didn’t set it up very mutably…. so it’s probably a pain in the kitten and not much worth doing.

totaly agree. You should be able to pick the priority when removing conditions.
If this does go through, I would like to add; it’d be nice if they split Bleeding stack priority into 2, <6 and 6+, cause the severity of either is quite different. I mean, its not 100% necessary, but bleeding is one of those things where 3 is no big deal, 25 is a game ender, so its… a big deal. But either way. I would love at least a basic prioritizing system.

i get upset when lyssa stab or steal stab is burried under buckets of boons, i’ve many times mirror shattered and then diversion’d stab still sitting pretty i tend to either die or fail to stop a thief/warrior stomp at this point after unloading a massive amount of removal. priorities i think do need a look, especially when all the boons or condis are granted at the same time (lyssa and sig of spite mixed with procs are the main offenders imo).
Well I run focus on my necro and I’m all, hell yeah! I’m going to use Spinal Shivers and removal that stability, drop into DS, doom him and help my buddy! Oh wait someones’ generic 1 might aoe splashed onto him so he has 4 boons now and stability is the lowest priority. Cool, well so much for trying to be awesome.

The only thing that might be nice is making immobilize prioritized. A short immobilize you could wait out, and a long immobilize you’d obviously want to cleanse.
Other than that, I think the last in, first out system is fine. If I have a stack of bleeds on me that I want to get rid of, all I have to do is wait for them to refresh (another ranger/necro auto) and bam, cleansed. If we set a strict order, it would actually be harder to remove the conditions we really wanted to.
I’d rather cleanse six stacks of bleeds with 12 seconds left than a burn with 4 seconds left; under the current system, all I have to do is wait for the bleed stack to refresh and bam, cleansed.
On the other hand, if I prioritize bleeding, I’ll rarely be able to cleanse anything else.
I could prioritize poison but again, a lot of times I’d rather get rid of a large bleed stack or a longer burn that just got refreshed.
Condition management is something I really enjoy, as it’s a ton of quick micro decisions all the time. I understand not everyone likes that, though. I think that’s why there are passive condition mitigation traits.
They need to separate conditions into categories that allow for better spot removal. Every condition/boon should be based on intensity as well as duration with passive and baked in boon/cond removal only removing a certain number of stacks instead of a full wipe. Full condition wipes should be long cooldown oh kitten utilitiess and aoe full cond/boon wipes should be reserved for elites. Lower bunker/burst efficiency by about 25% and then make people rely on support classes buffing them to reach the insane damage and defense outputs we have right now.
No, just no. This would make some conditions “useless”, this would make covering conditions useless, etc.
Condition cleanse should simply be LIFO.

For the uneducated, every single condition removal/boon rip skill has its own priority table that it follows. For example, ripping booms with bountiful theft will always prioritize Aegis and Stability, but corrupt boon will never take stab, if there’s other 5.
That being said, I don’t agree the different tableechanic there is, it makes cleansing conditions an absolute kittenshow.
Furthermore, I support the idea of cleanses being LIFO. It creates the possibility of actual counterplay at a high skill level. But I think the current system for boon rip is fine.

I do not like current boon rip. Spinal Shivers can’t be used for an effective counterplay against boonheavy classes (the one with the most stability, warriors/guard/ele) for stomp-stops, like Shivers→ DS → Doom, because its so easy for people with stability to have 4 or more boons.

The game shouldn’t have covering conditions with so much condition spam going on. It should just go with a condition cleansing priority queue leading to a more certain level of play. Something like Fear > Immobilize > Torment > Cripple > Burning > Bleeds > Confusion > Weakness > Chill > Poison. You could then also sort the condition bar so it’d be easier to see how long you’d need to wait out a condition before being certain to cleanse the one you want.
You could also then apply this to boons and boon ripping for the same effect. Ordered Boon bar, with Stability, Vigor, and Retaliation being three of the highest priority boons.
At the very least I’d like more skills and traits that prioritized certain boons being ripped or certain conditions being cleansed outside of the handful we have now.
if you can prioritize your cleanse, I should be able to prioritize what boons I remove/corrupt.
its only fair
I said that already.

That would be a pretty big buff to condition builds though. Currently, bleeds are pretty easy to wipe because they get reapplied so often. If you had to chew through fear, immobilize, torment, cripple, and burning before cleansing a bleed stack, an average build would never cleanse a single bleed stack vs. a necro…
The FIFO system is easy to pick up at a casual level (even without understanding the system, you’ll usually get rid of large bleed stacks) and allows for covering/snipe cleansing/management.
Not sure about prioritizing boon rips. It would certainly be a massive buff to ripping/stealing skills.
HAHAHA realy i think u dont even know what u are talking about , it would broke everything in pvp , every condi build or boon rip skills/traits/utilitis would be usless :P

I can respect your view on it hurting condi builds too much… But what? How in the hell would it make boon rip skills/traits/utilities useless? It’s buff them… I couldn’t imagine how on earth this would ever be a nerf to ripping lol.
