tbh that would make things worse. As is you have people stuck in lower divisions based on a faulty initial mmr placement. You are proposing a way for those lucky enough to get good placement to not lose it but ignoring the people who got bad placements from the start.

I think it’s messed up as is and something like this would be even more unfair to those stuck in lower divisions.

I look at it this way. If you get to plat and just continue to play as you do without improving and other people start getting better and focus on improving those people will overtake the person no longer attempting to improve… so why should they get to stay if the other people have surpassed them?

Its not even that… I went 0-10 or somewhere around there in placement and started in bronze.(Used a char besides my main… was like a 3rd main) in a matter of 3 days i went to gold. I get to plat 1 and bounced out because due to bad rotations….. Im a 2 time legend and this season is just bs

Legend means absolutely nothing whatsoever. NOTHING. You could grind to legend with enough games. Congrats on getting to Plat! Maybe you do belong there ! I guess you’ll just have to play more games to see where you even out!

and YOU are the problem in this league, you had to do your best in placements, and hold your position, not throw placements to farm an easy way to your suposed place, players as you deserve being punished in an eternal mmr hell for screwing players that dont have to be placed agains one of sup hability
and banned some days for match manipulation for screwing your teammates in placement match

No…. I used a bunker ele instead to just hold far/mid…. Its not exactly manipulation as it is contributing to the team. Im not sure if placement was 100% 0/10 might of been 2/8 but it wasnt 5/5 6/4 or anything

No failsafes is a great thing. If for some reason I make it to a division I don’t belong, I don’t want to be stuck there getting farmed every match. I would much rather prefer to naturally drop back down to where I belong and enjoy good matches.

If you’re intentionally losing matches, that’s not cool. You may not want the win but the rest of your team is getting hosed.

And because ANet doesn’t punish such people for such behavior is the reason. GW2 will never have a competitive scene. Just a scene for people who want to grind or get lucky to get titles and PvE rewards.

Some one in another thread had it right. If you want to test your gaming skills play another game. GW2 is simple not the game for such.
