I just wanted to show a couple pics of the level 70 finisher to those that haven’t seen it.

I am not the level 70 in the pictures, all credit goes to Voav; a big thanks for letting me use your character pictures!

All things considering his favorite map now say’s “Skyhammer” which is rather depressing.

So some cheesy low-poly and low-texture fire effect? Yay I quess.

It is cool now because of the prestige associated with it, but I think Anet could’ve done a better job on that finisher. It is less elaborate and less detailed than most of the other rank finishers.

Either those screenshots are on low graphic settings or anet was in a rush when creating it.

feels like a step backward that all emotes up to rank 60 (69) are cool animated 3D animals

but pheonix is like a flat painting….

The tiger just got its roar put in all this time, claiming the other finishers had more effort might be a questionable statement

The person depicted in that screenshot with the phoenix finisher has literally played no tournament games since the leaderboards reset.

But at least he’s got a “prestigious” finisher that many of the better players in the game don’t have, right? Nothing says prestige like hot-joining to 70.

The fact that a hot-joiner has better, flashier “prestige” or recognition to show off than competitive arena players just shows how poor the incentives are to participate in competitive PvP.

Competitive players could put hundreds of hours into quality, skillful gameplay and yet they are barely recognized for their accomplishments, to the point where whole teams of competitive players are quitting the game.

Pardon my choice of words, perhaps I should have said “rarity” instead. Regardless, there are several tournament players with rank 70, and I had them in mind (though I do not mean to discredit Voa, as he seems to be a good player…though we currently only see him in hotjoin).

with the 1k extra rank points rewards now the most dedicated tournament players/farmers get ranks up faster than hotjoin farmers now
