Limit it to like 20-25 per person. On a 5 person team, that still comes out to 100+ tickets.

All these premades that have been farming for the past month with their double Guardian bullkitten and abusing known mechanics, which you’re still fixing, have undoubtedly well over 300 tourney wins and tickets by now.

Even the playing field. They are abusing the system.

Why do you care how much they have? If they are good enough to win 300 tournaments then why cant they have some tourney tickets?

I dont understand why thats a problem. So they get to do more paid tournies when they come out, who cares?

Imagine the market being flooded with all the gems everybody earns (and then converts to gold when they get a surplus) when each person on a premade tournament team has over 300 tickets (and I’m sure people have over 500 by now).

Let’s just say, hypothetically, that each person has 300 tickets. It takes 1 Tournament Ticket PER TEAM. That’s 1500 tickets for a paid tournament from 1 team. That’s 1500 chances for 1st or 2nd place.

Was this intended?

I thought it cost 5 tournament tickets per team or per person, i might be wrong.

And im sure anet has thought out any possible economic flaws with this…

I have 184 tickets. Solo queuing for the good majority of it all.

Why don’t you join a match, solo, be in a pug, and tell me how much the other premade team “earns” their win with their team composition and designated roles already when they dominate so hard and spawn camp your team because half of your pug left in the first 3 minutes.

Please, tell me how hard that sounds.

I have about 220 tickets atm and I’m only playing tournaments (with premade who “stomp” the pugs) no zergBG and I’m Rank 34. Yeah some are rank 40+ but more then 75% of the players are in the rank 20-35pool.

Sigh merciless are you suggesting all the premades you fight are cheating? And more then likely your pugs are leaving because they get the infinite loading screen glitch which also can happen to the other team.

If you are good enough you only need 5 tickets once paid tournaments start… you just have to get place 1 or 2 every time. I don’t see a problem with players having a few hundred tickets.

Nobody said anything about premades cheating. I said that they’re abusing the current system in which it is nearly effortless to get tournament wins against pugs, which most tournament games are.

This team should have been unbeatable then, right?

But merciless thats the point of team pvp they get a team and then they pvp its not their fault you are joining solo why should they suffer cause you think its unfair that people can work together as intended.

My problem, as a random, when I join a match, is losing to a team composition that is far superior to a random team, since there’s no limit to how many of a certain class can be on 1 team, like Seether pointed out.

My problem, as a random, is when I do get to the final map, Khylo, and I don’t have a Mesmer on my team to teleport the repair kit, and the other premade 99% of the time does, they win the game. Because of 1 skill.

So, I don’t see how a premade group would suffer if they were only able to hold a limited amount of tickets. They’ll still be winning at the same rate if they’re that good.

As it stands now, though, all they’ve been doing is farming the kitten out of the free tournaments. Limit it to 100 tickets per person, whatever. That’s still 100 paid tournament games.

Join a Guild. Obviously guilds are going to do better than Pugs, thats MMO 101.

In the beta weekends you could test paid tourneys (well, theoretically you could, practically no one did them because there were too few players for them^^). If you wanted to do paid tourneys it showed you you need 5 tickets per person though. So its not completly wrong but completly right: you need 5 tickets per person, at least if they haven’t changed it (and I don’t see any reason why they would’ve changed the system).
