I think it may be time to purge the list of people who have stopped playing. The only way I can think of the keep it active is to use in game mail to send them a message but since it only supports 10 replies it can cut off many messages. Maybe a volinteer on NA and EU can just tag people with a “possibly quit” tag so people do not reach dead ends?

Hrm, the mail thing is a good idea! However, I really don’t feel like doing it right now lol. However, since this is my thread I guess I should be the one to do it.
With that said, I think the most effective way to use this thread is to add the people to your friends list, and turn on the option to see when people come online. It would be great fun and maybe good for showing Class X v Class X if the people on the list verse eachother and somebody fraps it. It would be beneficial to those who come to seek for help. They would also be able to see hwo the different builds work as well as play styles, what to watchout for,ect.

Might be a good idea for the future, but right now we see frequent changes in 1v1 matchups, so it’s hard to have stuff that wouldn’t be outdated.
For now I think it’s best to just ask people that are willing to help out, and also check out the streams thread here.

I’m a mesmer from an EU server and i can help with 1vs1 (and 1vs more!) against any profession. I could help people from other professions learn to play against mesmers too, but i guess that isn’t a thing on this list :p. You can also put me on the hot join list.

Always willing to help at Necro in 1v1, tPvP, and hotjoin if i’m online US but I honestly stretch all play times depending on if I’m working that day or not. I have a very strong grasp on Necro for sPvP with close to 2k hours logged, I also main a Warrior but that’s for WvW/PvE
Wow, why did i not see this thread earlier. The tpvp community right now is EXTREMELY hard to get into. I greatly appreciate a fellow player trying to help out the new comers !
This list would make way more sense when it would be ingame. By this I mean, alot of new players to PvP won’t come over to the forum and find this special thread. I’d say about 1-3% mabye. As I help a lot of new players to find their way into PvP this happens via luck and not because they found this thread. In soloQ or hotjoin (blehh) ppl write me directly or if they flame me (w/e), I offer them my help to understand basic things.
So to bring more ppl actually into PvP and make them enjoy this mode, it would be much better to put thi directly into the mists. Mabye there would be a problem with pointing out certain character-names (allrdy issue on the forum), to actually release such a list. However I’d enjoy this feature.

That’s a really cool idea. I try already to help out players who are just starting (they’re typically easy to identify if you’re chatty in /map), but there aren’t many of those that come through my matches since 8s are the default. Having some sort of list available in-game would help remedy that.

That would be great, but I’m not sure how this would work. I would rather see an option to open the spvp forum up from inside the game, and encouraging players to come on the forum.
