Little boy who wants the entire cake
You can like the build of course because it’s a free world, but let’s not pretend that this build will make s/d still viable because basic hit with it is just a joke.
The thing is that with Lssa rune s/d build was just overpowered and if you could manage it in a decent way, you would be able to have every 1 vs 1 positive for you. Now Lyssa rune is gone and I don’t understand why some thieves are thinking yet they can be tanky like before. You just don’t, let’s deal with it, enjoy the dps and just pay more attention in team fight. A thief jumping everywhere in a team fight was just an insane thing and I am glad Arenanet fixed it.
It can be the easiest one, I guess, if you amster it, but s/d is definitely the most cheese one, especially before the patch: all the mistakes you could afford yourself and despite that you could win was, well… Just amazing. With d/p or s/p no mistake is allowed, and it’s even more clear now.
I tried that build for a few matches and I hated it. I felt like a wet noodle spinning around doing pretty much nothing. Can’t decap far since there is now way this build can kill a bunker. Can’t push anyone off node to decap, can’t do anything but ripping boons from enemies. I have way more success with my d/p 6/6/0/0/10 build.
Hope people will realize what you just said because we finally could see a pvp without s/d spec (I have been always persuaded that this spec was incredibily unbalanced and cheated, even after the little nerfs) and now we must see this new spec, dealing 0 damage everywhere and bothering teamfights. It’s just annoying: you can’t kill him because, like the ancient spec, it has still tons of evades, and yet sometimes you are bothered by it because you realize your stab is missing and stuff like that. Thief is done to end last hp and finish a job somebody else started previously, don’t make it a fake-bunker class. It just doesn’t suit the class.
