looking at playing spvp more than wvw, but which class has more combos to deal much dmg,

necro

engi

ranger

i like how these class are leveling, but i wana main one to endgame..

i look for quick burst, high dmg, maybe stun locks? doesnt get repetitive after long hours of play..

i heard thief were at the bottom of the tier list now? is that true?

That’d be Mesmer.

If you are looking for duel power, the mages are currently the easiest to memorize and emulate. They are still difficult and have a very decent skill ceiling, but unlike having to learn all your kits/toolbelts or pets/util combos- you can just memorize skill combos as a start. Bar to enter is lower. HOWEVER- a good engi (especially a good scrapper) will muder anything it sets eyes on. Same on Ranger, however Ranger fights at higher skill tiers is much more in depth. Less skills, but more forethought.

Basically, bar to enter is lower on mages and higher on mediums (idk heavies, I’m not a fan of any of them tbh) but skill ceiling is also lower on mages and higher on mediums. You notice a very big difference between a good thief/engi/ranger as opposed to a good mes/ele/necro when they fight worse players.

I was gonna mention War, but it’s certainly not a popular choice right now -_-u

Thing about stunlock etc currently is that, Meta is turning out HIGH evade, HIGH block right now. Mes got a heavy loadout of interrupt/lockdown traits/weapons in the trait changes and HoT, so there’s a lot to capitalize on. However speaking from within the mes community it’s the emerging opinion that the whole loadout is under performing in the face of current trends, i.e. blocks spam, blind spam, evade spam, on top of your usual invulns, and even counter stun (mes dont get much stabos). People might have their reservations about these, but try locking down a Daredevil or Berserker -_-u. They can shrug off and barrel through hard CC.

in comparison to damages for pvp, how does ranger compete with necro?

im looking at these classes, im still low level so i cant decide yet..

whats the dps role for a ranger,necro?

does a necro have nuking combos

does ranger have cc + sustain

basically whats their playstyle as a dps
