not exactly sure where this post belongs so feel free to move it to the relevant forum

I am looking to improve my far-point assault gameplay 1v1 on point. I play thief and want to practive my 1v1’s on far-point with experienced players who can point out where I need to improve or punish the enemy for their mistakes. Any help would be much appreciated.

Looking for matches against all classes and all specs. I will offer advice if you request it and I can give you insight.

you shouldnt solo push a capped and defended node as thief (depends on defender but i just assume its not an instant kill) – how about improving on that part!

Personally, if we are talking about solo q I am not a fan of anybody assualting the far point solo ever. It takes too long to kill even an average bunker and if the other side doesn’t send one person to your point and you bunker it to start then you are going to be outnumbered at mid point. The best way to win in a pure pick up environment of randoms imo is to just focus on your home point and the middle laser like. Sure on certain maps when you can see the far point easily from close to the middle if they just leave it open during a brief lull in fighting go take it.

Except I’m not talking strat or tactics. This is assuming it’s logical to fight the point 1v1, meaning I’m not rushing to a capped point. Perhaps I decapped it and don’t want them to instantly recap it, or we own the point and I am the only closest person to defend it.

I’m looking for practice, not reasons why I shouldn’t be there.
