I find it excessive if you want to detract a pip for defeat, fine! but do so for a 300+ defeat not for a mere 20 pts difference . Despite the claims :" it’s worth trying", you still lose pips even after trying your best..may as well go afk the moment you start losing, I mean c’mon 477 to 500 and I lose a pip? why?

It depends on how good your opponent was according to the MMR system aswell. So if the team u played against was worse or even compared to your own team……

Why shouldnt you lose pips if you lose?

Maybe if you stopped trying you wouldve lost 2 pips instead of only 1.

Clearly matchmaking expected your team to win and your team lost. The same thing happened to me with 499-500 score.
