The DC thing IS enraging. I wish they could at least tell when anet servers are the reason you disconnected. I got a crucial winning streak (would have advanced a division) broken because of anet. While I click frantically for me to reconnect to a game we had in the bag, I browse the official forums with no lag. Enraging.

You can type in game /ip, the chat will show you IP of the server. Get pinglotter (free), type that IP in it and let trace route and ping, you will see what causes the lag (it is not always ncsoft servers issue btw).

NCsoft servers usually get massive lags on EU when big changes are coming and they update everything, this is example what happens when NCsoft servers cause the lag:
red lines is 100% packet los. In game you get 3k ms when it happens.

P.S. download speed and ping are different things btw. Not to mention game and forum servers are not the same. You can browse forums fine but still have high ping in game.

Was this changed for some reason? I am pretty sure you didn’t lost pips for loosing 4v5s last season. I just lost a 3v5 along with a pip.

You lose a pip if you or someone in your party DCs; it’s considered a desertion. In my case I got a desertion even though I reconnected and won the game.

If a random teammate DCs and you win, it’s still a win. Edit: Or if a non-partied teammates DCs and you lose, it’s no change to your pips. I believe it still breaks your win streak though.
