Ddos or not, I’m still experiencing occasional lag spikes whenever I’m playing PvP.

its not always like this but recently its been happening quite alot.
no lag on other games/streaming.

It’s so lovely to lose for mass disconnection.

the only good part about this lag is my friends complaining that a teleport evis warrior to stronk.

Yesterday I thought there was an improvement. Still the occasional skill lag preventing me from being able to play my thief, but no long freezes so I was able to play some matches on my warrior and necromancer on which I can manage the consistently inconveniently timed lag spikes.

Today, however, the freezing is back. I channeled stilness, informed my team that we’ve got it, then I find myself running into the wall I’d just walked past, and stilness is still there. I’ll be holding a point against a power necro, winning safely, then a freeze while he’s in death shroud and when the game catches up I’ve died from those auto attacks. A team fight at mid is going rather even-sided, then after a lag spike the other team are all either downed or dying and quite rightly ranting in map chat. I’ll be setting up a target for a burst, land an immobilise and go toward the target, stop, and start to take it down, then woosh I’m back where I was when I casted the immobilise, see that it never actually hit, and the target is well out of range due to having been moving in that direction when the lag hit.

Can we at the very least get some information on this? Are there times when we can expect to actually be able to play? Do you know what the problem is? Are you working on it? Do you have any idea when it will be resolved?

IMPOSSIBLE to play this evening!!
Horrible lag for 3 hours, then stopped and finally I could play 1tpvp in a decent manner…
but it was too late and I should quit to bed..
seriously if this lag problems don’t stop I am forced to quit this game again. Cannot play with team anymore due to lag and when finally we can play it’s too late and we are too frustrated for keep playing and enjoying the game again.
Lag and 4vs5 games are ruining all the fun!!!!

it’s hilarious when you’re fighting a warrior, your screen freezes for 10 seconds and when the lag ends, you’re a moa

Since we lack pvp features in next patch I am pretty sure this lag is a new feature in pvp, it takes a lot of skill to fight and win by guessing randomly where you are and where your enemy is, dodging and attacking randomly. In some aspects it is like skyham and it was a feature too. Think about it…

But now the best part: was able to do a rtl from henge to keep due to a massive freeze. And I wasnt ported back, I was in mid after the freeze was over.

Started to report ingame with the IP every time the game gets hit. (lot faster then on the forum.)

So, I just lost a match we were 100% sure to win, because 4/5 of my team had a dc TWICE in a match and the opponent managed to tricap on legacy when it was 485 to 400 in our favor. Thanks ANet, fix your kittening kittenservers already.

gg anet, lag is getting worse and worse and they just dont care. 4 people in my team dced at the same time after horrible lagwars.

I just gave up playing pvp since 2 days, for me it’s not the d/c but the almost constant skill activation delay, it’s literally killing me.

Sidenote: I’m having delays in WvW too (probably even worse than in pvp), in pve apparently there are none (but I play seldom pve, just 20-30 mins a day to gather some mats). Coincidence? I don’t think so. (conspirationist tune on)

This is ridiculous. Any other MMO or MOBA company would literally fix this within days, if not hours.

Then again, there are a lot of things companies like Blizzard, Valve, and Riot do differently than ArenaNet. It really explains a lot of problems with the game.

Hmm, if that’s the case Anet has a lot of servers failing, because it’s the same for WvW, disconnects and lag everywhere. They might as well address all of their servers rather than specific ones because it’s a widespread issue =p

Playing from Australia – the game is literally getting to the point where the lag is making it unplayable. I can’t WvW, I can’t Dungeon, I can’t SPvP, I can’t fractal when I’m consistently 5-10 seconds behind everything that is going on.

Hell, I can’t even make the best of it and sit at a trading post flipping items because the lag makes for mis-clicks.
