The meaning behind my post was that this is a waste of money when the game is mocked even by its most hardcore players in the mists.

a waste of money. so you are their financial manager then? and if not what other qualification do you have to make that statement? did you compare what sum anet anualy puts into employers and how much each department is getting to the amount of money thrown into pricepools? do you have any data whatsoever to allow you to make a statement like that? i believe the answer is no. then why the hell do you say such things? do you think you can run their buisness better than them?

To those of you being jack bags about who got invited to the tournament, knock it off. I can’t conceive of a world in which this little tournament ranks high enough on the “I give a poo” scale to be upset about it and publicly trash people that I do not even know over it.

I solo roam wvw solo que in spvp roll with my guild in wvw and do gvg. If you only do one thing well you average. Big players do it all and see what’s worth playing in the moment. But I enjoy people behind the bubble it helps make me capatial in the real world.

Great first match, some really good plays. A lot of cheese builds but it’s nice to see Caed with D/P and Steamhawke with rifle engineer.

I’m guessing it’s because this is the only way for the pvp team to justify getting more resources from the higher ups.

you must have played in a different dimansion. cause last time i checked you could get into top 50 with cheesebuilds and little to no actual skill and if that didn’t work you could just buy a top 50 smurf. those leaderboards didn’t mean kitten. it’s basicly the same as saying you are top 100 in gw2.

You’re right that people bought alt accounts that were already in the top 50. However, do you see anyone buying accounts in the top 50 of this game? No.

Also, I find it difficult to compare a game with a top 10,000 guilds vs a game with a top… 8?

I logged onto the stream with low expectations, but I must say I’m pleasantly surprised. A lot of the matches have been closer than I expected, and I’m seeing some dif builds being used, like power engy. Obv GW2 pvp still has its fair share of problems, but I feel like this MLG is a huge improvement over PAX.

Yeah this has been a really fun tourney so far, despite the occasional problem. Besides 1 spirit ranger per team, comps have been incredibly different and creative.

They really need to turn off post-processing during these streams, the bloom is just too much.

DENIAL won, helseth’s team, they beat SYNC 3-0.

Interesting to note is that CC had Super dc in their 2nd match of the first bracket, and he couldn’t connect for the 3rd and final match so CC played with 4v5 in their 3rd match. I forget who they dcd against. Pretty sure it was GF or some other NA team.
