Ha ha thanks fish man
Was it late at night? I noticed having huge win streaks playing in the AMs, maybe because the other players are tired, or drunk, or simply to few to give me balanced games.

“Buff my main class, nerf everything else. "
I saw a report that your chances of such a winning streak are about equal to winning the PowerBall lottery. Padre, I suggest you go buy a lottery ticket today…

Not to burst a bubble, but your mmr decays over time if you don’t play any matches. That is probably why you went on a win streak as big as you did (it matched you up against easier opponents)

Isn’t it supposed to be the opposite? Isn’t MMR hell for those with lower MMR constantly being teamed with baddies?
Anyways, whatever the reason is I’m going to do the same (I.e. Not play for a couple of weeks) and hope I streak my way to legend too xD

Btw I did this with a variation of my WvW hybrid condi build.

no. your mmr does not decay. your volatility increases a little bit every 3 days for up to 2 or 3 months (too lazy to check atm), which means it becomes easier for you to slide up or down on the mmr scale for a few games once you do come back. but it doesnt decay.
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions
simple ,me, a medium-low player, past season reached only saphire last pip after a lot of matches (almost the full season only doing pvp the 2-3 hous daily i can play) this season reached saph t4 the firsts 2-4 days in a few matches whith a win ratio of 75%-80% after this the rating decayed fast to 50% and until now
Simple answer. The “good” players hit legendary ages ago and gave up/went to Overwatch because queue times sucked. That left a vacuum which allowed the next level tier players to get into Legendary.
That means this season, the old diamond players are now legendary. And the old “stuck in ruby hell” players are now diamond and so on and so forth.
Players who took a break are going to have a very easy time playing all the way into legendary this season.
True Vicky, now the question is:
Is it easy as I’m better than the competition due to waiting? Or is it easy as the waiting skewed me in such way (having been legendary past seasons so I have better MMR than the current average Ruby) that I am in the MMR heaven and my opponents subsequently in MMR hell?

Why not both?
A long break leads to more volatile MMR. And the fact that your competition is significantly less skilled = more wins. With your volatile MMR, those wins might tip you over into win streaks.
I’d also throw in something about how some schools are starting summer break now, while others are in the middle of exams and thus more leading to more skewing.
I wish this would happen to me, heh. I’ve been stuck dead-middle in Ruby for something like 40 games.
Favorite map Foefire… I’m sorry.

So many clutch wins on that map due to proper lord rush and inappropriate lord rushes by the enemy, how can that map not be #1

Try not touching PVP for 2 weeks, maybe it will…

It’s the best map for the following reasons:
1.Big mid point ensures you can still contest and still work around dangerous AoE fields.
2.Big map overall ensuring you have enough leeway.
3.Attacking a node is a real commitment since the other is far enough away.
4.Lord is inconvenient and out of the way enough to make it a real risk.
Some issues with the map however:
1.Lord is worth too many points.
2.Blue feels slightly favored due to having better kiting and hiding spots.
Still, Forest beast are too convenient and worth too many points and nodes are too close to their spawn making a far hit riskier than it should be, still a tolerable map depending on your comp and the opponent’s.
Temple also isn’t too bad, and the buffs don’t require killing NPCs while play can revolve around a charge. For example you know the enemy team will get tranq, so you stand off to the node’s side and immediately recap.
Khylo is just horrible for being too slow and too quick and convenient reaching any node while camera obstructions are everywhere at mid.
Oh it’s not really a bad map I’m just tired of playing on it all the time lol.
Also I still have PTSD from S1 with the bunker meta on legacy which meant mid never got capped lmao
It was confusing
Then I saw you were playing Rev
It all made sense
Kinda sad I didn’t reach 30 streak or legendary. Also power guard only + pugs.

Pfft MMR heaven. Lucky you. I’m then in MMR purgatory. I improve at steady pace.
Glad I’m not in MMR hell i guess. Guess I won’t jinx my chances by complaining.
