Your brain is clearly impervious to information. A new account starts with a mmr bonus. You wouldn’t be getting the same matchups as someone stuck in ruby.
Anet gave every new account a good mmr. Which is why all season people have been farming with alt accounts.
BTW how is dream land? It must be nice all year round.
You realise that you can’t farm the achievements/tickets/badges on an alt account and transfer them to your main account right? People used alt accounts because legendary queues were over an hour long in the first half of the season, nothing to do with MMR.

regardless even if i DID have good mmr from the start (which i didnt because all throught amber i was getting matched with bads that didnt know how to rotate vs 1 or 2 primordial legends and the rest were either legendary champions or champion phantoms/ect.)i still managed to win matches and move through the ranks easy. if you werent there you cant say for sure whether i was matched against bads or got carried etc…the mmr is fine kthxbai.

ok dr galandil…what hypothesis have you tested to conclude this and what truths from these have you tested (from my exact experience) and confirmed inexplicably?

Yeah you and 100 others and the conclusion was to experience mmr hell on a new account you’d need to play to ruby tank your mmr then show how easily you can break out of MMR hell. You can’t do that because of obvious ethical reasons.
A good simulation estimated 4.5% of people are in MMR hell, this happens when you’re always playing on non-peak hours, (MMR Hell downward spiral doesn’t exist on peak hours).
So you gotta never play on peak hours and you gotta lose a lot vs. beginner/average rated people to dig yourself that hole.
Actually I think that OP might be a troll, so many people are triggered by dunning kruger effect posterboys, I’d rate 10/10 if so

Accounts that are new to ranked PvP (i.e. never played a ranked PvP game before, ever) are considered as having 50% win-lose ratio (“MMR”) for their first match. For a bell-curve distribution between 0% and 100%, that is the exact middle, were a large number of players will be. However, there is still a significant portion of the player base below the average 50% and because you are always matched in a team with players of the same “MMR”, new accounts have the opportunity to bypass everything below 50% if they get lucky win streaks/carried by better players.
You can search for the proof on forum posts from the developer responsible for the Matchmaking system, Evan Lesh. I specifically, remember this explanation from him being in a post regarding Season 2, but I think he explained it in some discussion about Season 1 as well. Can`t be bothered right now to search for direct link. I do vividly recall the given reasoning for this 50% allocation for new accounts; it was that this rating is the average one where most players eventually end up anyway.
Furthermore, there have been numerous posts discussing exactly this allocation in regards to the bigger picture of Season 2 matchmaking.

So what you are selling here… is that you started this game 3 months ago, and played unranked to learn 3 professions from scratch. then, you jumped in Ranked and have an 85% win rate on those 3 professions. that is a lot of knowledge for someone who just picked up the game – you should speak to Phanta, Supcutie, or Muffinz – one of those guys. You’re a legend – Nos and Wakkey have nothing on your pure awesomeness.
PS – you did all this in 2 weeks of Ranked as a brand new player – lol
I bet you never had 3 of the team spending 70% of the game time dead like it happens in most of my games. I could be super player and still wont be able to win.
Wouldn’t say false. I would say exaggerated with very few people actually stuck in it. It’s basically what 99% of the people that aren’t where they feel they deserve to be in leagues blame instead of themselves. People love to blame imaginary forces beyond there control. It easier then to take an honest look at what you yourself are doing.

After you said you were a new player and could beat everyone in the game. This is basically the mentally of someone who doesn’t get it. You can’t win more than 60% in an even comp. This comp you are winning 95%. Of course that’s nothing to do with team mates and matchmaking. That’s pure skill. Right? So if you are stuck in mmr that’s also nothing to do with matchmaking and all about skill. Anyone is a complete dopey kitten if they don’t get this.
I haven’t heard any top players complain about MMR.
Quoted for inquiry. There’s a lot of League players who soloQ away from their team… I haven’t heard of any of these players complain about “MMR Hell”.
That said, there’s “Matchmaking Hell” where matchmaking can and will place you on an unfavorable comp back to back.. this is my equivalent of “MMR Hell” but the two are not correlated.

I whent legend quite easily on my main account + first alt non hot account.
The arrogance i saw from horrible (mainly) ruby players is comical. They all think they are god and they are right. Even if you give them friendly advice the fast majority (90% at least) will reply in a snobbish way as if they are pro level.
Those tend to be the same guys that where spamming about mmr hell in map and teamchat.

At the level (division) where ppl scream about MMR hell 99% of the ppl tend to suck BIGtime. Those games are so easy to carry if u have more than 2 braincells.
I whent to legend on my alt non hot core power wells necro with zerker amu. Its super easy since ppl just stand on top of wells or traps or whatever. Its close to failproof.
20 secs later the same guy that dies while standing 100% on my wells from start to finish shouts about how his team sucks and he is stuck in MMR hell.
Matchmaking is first of all based on pip range AFTER that MMR applies. So matches tend to be relatively even. The only thing that does make things uneven is division locks.
Your team is based on pip range and mmr your opponents are based purely on pip range, mmr doesn’t enter into it, hence the large number of uneven matches this season.
