Well that’s your opinion. Personally I have never played games like LoL but I do know that they are insanely popular. Could be a lot of fun
Edit: This game needs more pvp types. Gw1 had AB, JQ, FA, RA, TA/codex, Gvg and HA.

MOBA wont work in GW2 ! heres whyL
-to big difrence between the classes
-Anet guys are very bad at AI (sry, devs. but this what we see in gw2) + AI targeting system. without it MOBA ist working.
-MOBA is running on pretty big map, it could lead to many sync problems (did you even ever wounder, why pvp maps are so small?)
-MOBA is item based game type, what will lead for more disbalance in game
Personally I dont think that we need anothe DoTa, there are tons of it. I think devs should focus on other thing!
About Gw1 gamemodes:
I would love to see them here, but again the problem will be that PvP community has only HotM lobby and it will bring chaos and confussion to players (i am talking more about Codex). AB wont work, because we have no Alliance xD. Still smth like GvG or HA would be nice and it is possible to make.
What would be easily made and could be fun is smth like search & destroy mode, where one team must take objective (or point) and other must stop them or decap it for example. This game mode is not hard to code, but will take some time to design the maps for it. Still lot easier then other suggestions i readed befor! (will not destroy balance either)

Hmmm, people who cant think outside the box often run from good ideas at the first hurdle.
For starters.
Big difference between classes isn’t an issue, if it was it would be an issue in all game types……honestly I think the lack of distinguished roles is what hurts pvp in this game in general….but that’s just my opinion.
Also, we already know they can do a map like this, despite your AI and mapsize claim. It was called “Reapers Rumble” and it was released during the Halloween event. A moba style map where you collected a resource to generate your units to try to take out the enemy base. It was a variation of moba style gameplay and it was fun and worked.
“moba is an item based game” why does it need this? Reapers rumble didn’t have it infact Dungeon Defenders 2 pvp features a moba style pvp game with NO ITEMS.
Powerful buffs can be obtain by capturing nodes to fight over to help your side of units produce faster and more efficiently like it did in a moba called “Demi-God”.
They absolutely could pull it off, as I pointed out they already did. Theres lots of room to create an exciting variation of the unit push play style that mobas all share, you just have to be creative to make it work.

yeah most people are incapable of thinking outside the box the dev team could make a lot of game modes able to work it just depends on how much effort they put into it.
gw2 moba would require special set of rules though.
that translate into too much work for the developers.
and no return on profit.
i.e. spvp cannot be effectively monetized.
