Are they allowed now? If so, how do you use them?

I keep hearing more and more about burst eles and backstab thieves using macros to burst insanely fast.

I don’t think so, but keep in mind that gw2 skill system has delays so when you see someone burst you down in 1 second it’s probably because of lag (or they found some kind of loophole).

Imo they are.

1st – as long as you do only 1keystroke at a time and not more (which is the case , else its a hack).

2nd. GW2 has even an own macro keyboard sold by Steelseries… would be weird if ur not allowed to use them ;D

One button press may only result in one ingame action. Everything else is forbidden.

F.e. pressing a special button on the keyboard for activating your healing skill is allowed, since you could also just have press the number 6 (or your own keybind) for doing so.
Pressing the button ‘x’ to cast both ‘Arcane Blast’ and ‘Arcane Wave’ is not allowed.

With one button > one skill, you mean it’s allowed to have a button that cycles skills like first press: arcane blast, second press: arcane wave: third press: lightning attunement: 4th press lighntning strike, etc?

Because that’s what I consider macros, a single button that cycles through mutliple skills so you can just spam 1 key instead of thinking what key to press.

1 key 1 action. everything else is not allowed. But many many many around (Expec eles and thieves) use macros, even in those esl “top” teams aswell aswell as in old pax tournaments. You can’t use them but noone gives a kitten about watching for ppl macroing so yeah…pointless..

A lot of eles use macro and it is obvious when they run around doing NOTHING in between their macro burst combo

Macros Aren’t allowed.Tbh in a game where you need to press so few buttons,have so few skills available…The need to use macros… ? Ehhh,Laziness comes to mind. This isn’t aion or wow where you have like 30 skills on your bar.Your a cheapass if you use macros here.

ele is the only one that it could be useful on anyway

Nothing on thief happens that fast, especially since haste got nerfed
