Make all cap points as big as Graveyard
+1, that would be good
This has been needed forever and would solve all problem with AoE and spam for Spvp.
This would be a big hit to Guardian bunkers as well and would have a huge impact on the meta…

You mean the spam AoE on the point endlessly meta? How is that not a good thing.
And make AoE even less useful than it already is?
Single-target DPS is already pretty dominant. I’m not sure why you’d want to push that further in this direction.
Character name: Azilyi
and then people realize it’s trivial to kite around a large point, and you get a bunker meta worse than you have now
this would be big buff to all bunkers and would make them op
allow only berserker amulett in pvp than im fine with big nodes^^
Wouldn’t this just push everyone into even MORE BUNKERY specs? As it is, graveyard is pretty much impossible to decap once capped (if the team plays smart).
We could just get rid of automated response, and decrease the size of most aoe instead of making points bigger. People don’t talk about it much, but bombs went from being a skillfull zoning play when they only covered part of the point, to just something you spam in the middle of the point and have 90% chance to hit. If you want to see aoe done right, play staff ele: lots of telegraphs (except meteor shower, which is getting fixed), not very hard-hitting, generally low damage besides a few key skills.

Ele AoE is pretty balanced. Engi bomb kit spam does get pretty ridiculous, as does Warrior Longbow. Necro seems more reasonable to me…but I can see that going both ways.

I don’t think I agree with this:
1) Most bunkers are still pretty reliant on knockbacks to a decent degree, even if it’s not as over-the-top as engineers.
2) One of the reasons bunkers are so powerful is because they can survive standing in the AoE. Make bigger points and glassier classes can just skirt the edges to survive.
of all the team-fights, i like foefire and nifhel mid best
This thread has people saying it’d be too good for bunkers AND bad for bunkers.
I have a guardian bunker, and it if there’s a slower enemy melee on graveyard, i’ll just run in circles and frustrate him. Good for me.
If there’s a ranged class, he just sits off to the side and shoots. The point is so big an enemy can stay at huge range, keep attacking, and still be on point. Sucks for me.
…so yeah, a larger point will work both ways.
Personally, I’d like there to be objects around to LOS with on points, I don’t particularly care about the size. But of course a bunker would say that…

^ That depends on whether you already control the point or not. If the enemy controls it or if it’s neutral, then this isn’t really productive unless you’re outnumbered, distracting enemies while your team captures other objectives.
So, in other words: It’s situationally advantageous to you when you’re fighting melee and always a disadvantage when fighting ranged enemies.
@ LoS: Ugh, I’m still sick of the pillar hump-fest that is WoW arena and I haven’t played that game in years. I’ll pass on line of sight on points.
I think this is a great idea, maybe even throw in some LoS objects on nodes too,
I honestly don’t think that LoS objects would be good for GW2 unless most ranged weapons were brought up to par with melee DPS.
LoS was more balanced in something like WoW since a hunter/mage/etc. would just wreck everyone if they could just free cast from a distance. GW2, however, has tuned ranged weapons to (usually) deal less damage than melee, which is why there are almost no ranged builds in the PvE meta.

Sure you do.
All kittins do.
