Map-Stuck is back
Had it three times tonight. All three times has been when stomped from stealth. Twice from a theif, once from an ele in a mesmer elite.
Different maps, playing different chars. Spread across about 3 hours.
We’re looking at this now, the more detailed your reports, the faster we can fix it.
I’ve pointed the programmers looking into it at this thread, so thanks for all the details you can provide!
Post is up for 3 days before they even post and now been 9 days and nothing, Also in WvW player clipping (i think its called that – where enemy characters could be stood next to you but due to delay/lag dont appear for several seconds) is getting worse and worse.
Have you guys even repaired your client?
Have you guys even repaired your client?
I have reinstalled the game TWICE since release and i STILL get the issues, bugs and constant Disconnects
I dont know , but this bug is only when a thief kill you .
i see thief on tournement who fing how and his use 100% this bug !
please fixe this ,
i think this bug if after a skill thief while fight .
Well, I think everyone should repair their client first, and see if the loading bug in PvP still persists. I’m not talking about other bugs and disconnects, only the loading bug in PvP. This is because not everyone encounters the problem, so it’s worth a try for people to repair their client and still see if the problem persists. And at your post, Armageddon, they have not changed the render issue, so at large amount of groups, there is nothing that can be done at our side.. Sad, but true.
…The loading screen bug can happen when you die to any class. It’s completely random… Are everyone that hateful to thieves honestly? That even a loading screen bug is on the class.. Try repairing your client, for some it worked and solved the loading bug issue, others not as fortunate. Worth a try though!

Not everyone got their issue fixed though.
isn t random , it s only after a fight with a thief !

It’s totally random, and is in no way, shape, form, or fashion caused by any particular class, be it Thieves or others.
/thread
It’s definitely random. I’ve gotten it from almost every class. I’ve even gotten it from Mesmer Phantasms.
no no no no no no !
is only when a thief is on the fight !
100 % bug i have they are thief dammage me before or kill me !
and is the same for all players of my 3 team with i playing !
no thief no bug !
but when a thief is on a fight ! he have bug !
please stop tell is random ! isn t random
isn t random
isn t random bug !
it s impossible random get when a bug come before 100% time a thief is on the fight and when no thief 0% bug !
i not play bg , i play only spvp tournement !
and 100% time or i have the bug ! a thief is on me dammage just before i died or is thief finish me !
Somebody needs to take off their tinfoil hat.
I’ve been struck with the bug when there wasn’t even a Thief on the opposing team. How is that possible if only Thieves can cause the bug?
i don t speak is the finish or the last player who kill you !
you can get bug after a other class finish you ,
but if a thief dammage you just before your die , you can get bug !
no thief no bug !
100%
i don t speak is the finish or the last player who kill you !

no thief no bug !
100%
Then how did I get the bug if there wasn’t a Thief on the other team?

you are true ! isn t possible !
NO THIEF NO BUG !
or the bug can be if a player kill you while furtif !
other player can get furtif but thief is player with a lot of furtif
I’m not sure if you’re a really awesome troll or you’re just a crazy person.
The fact of the matter is that Thieves do not cause the loading screen bug. I have been killed by people before, without a Thief being on the opposite team, and I still get the loading screen bug.
Yep, ive been dueling a Guardian friend on me Mesmer last night and it happened about 3 times where i got the loading bug. (just the two of us on the server) We both think its caused by pressing keys while youre in the loading screen.
yesterday !
is just exemple but is all days the same
ten match tournement :
5 tournoi no thief ===> 0 players in mi team have bug
2 tournoi 2 thief ===> me and my have 3 players 2 time bug / match !
3 tournoi 1 thief ===> me and my time have / match 3 players 1 time bug / match
each time thief is direct on the fight with player have a bug !
isn t possible is just coincidence !
i am 100 % that thief is origine this bug or a competence ! maybe when a thief damage you last on furtif !
Nerf the thief loading screen skill! It is OP!
or you just want to be right and invent something to protect the exploit bug?
I can come ask several players of different teams to come testify that this bug happen when toujour a thief in the battle tournament
I am not a liar or a troll it’s been over 10 days that j observes the problem and it is not possible that it is a coincidence that 100% of my bugs occur after that there have been a thief in combat. and that he didn ’t ever happen to have the bug if there are no thief in combat.
and that over 150 tournament play.
and isn t just me but 10 players who i play everdy days on tournement !
and where are you for ask a requestlockplz !
i think you want just describiliz me because you think i have twists ?
and me i think you are a liar and you have not a bug with a gardian on 1 vs 1 !

skill thief or furtif attak !
Don’t get the repair. It doesn’t work, and it caused a slew of new problems for me that never occurred before like the game just freezing up and not responding until force restart.
Seems to keep happening to me when stealth stomped as well. Gunna toss on my tinfoil hat and speculate that the main reason AN isn’t giving us more info is out of fear that everyone is going to get on their thieves.
Just had it on Khylo at the enemy catapult, got stomped by a mesmer (no stealth, but stability). Had it several times yesterday, at least for me it doesn’t seem to correlate with any specific class or ability.
What’s a Furtif attak?
==> invisibility
10 days and gamebreaking bug still not fixed.
yes! we lost a tPvp yesterday because of this
This guy is awesome: Semprenaviguare.2936.
Love the way he writes and furtif is the best:))))))
I say take out all thief class just because of him, no furtif anymore, problem solved:)))))

Its a game breaking bug, one that happens ALOT and it was first mentioned more then 9 days ago and nothing, you might be happy with that them just saying “we are looking into it” did they code the game SO badly that fixing one thing breaks something else?
LOL, I play as a thief. Never recalled bugging people… But whatever you say man! The repair doesn’t work for everyone unfortunately.. I have no idea why.. repair works flawlessly for me.. oh wells. Just wait for Anet to fix it then.

You’ve obviously never worked with coding, at least not on something bigger than “Hello World.” Adjusting one thing in something the size of Guild Wars 2 will invariably change something you didn’t intend. It’s not a “maybe this could happen” sort of thing, it’s a “hopefully whatever else this affects isn’t important” type thing. This particular issue is extremely sporadic as some players have it happen near constantly while many (most?) others never have it happen at all. Issues like that are extremely hard to pin down, and many games end up having such problems stick around for months before the root cause is determined and changed. Hell, the PS3 version of Skyrim has a bug that they’ve been trying to fix for a full year and literally prevents Bethesda from selling DLC.

Thats just ONE of the issues. They should really be worried that if they have managed to code the game in such a way that FIXING these sort of issues near impossible they should have not released the game to begin with and actually SPENT time fixing issues and bugs.
The fact we STILL have bugs, issues, broken and bugged traits and such that were broken throughout all of the Beta events and had MANY people calling for them to be fixed…guess what they are STILL broken.

You still don’t get it.
Every single piece of software that has more than a few lines of code has these issues. It’s not unique to GW2. It’s not an issue of “bad coding” on Anet’s behalf. It’s a reality of writing software. That’s why your operating system is patched weekly. That’s why your browser is patched so often (daily in the case of some browsers). That’s why the original Starcraft is up to version 1.161. You obviously have no clue as to how software actually works.
how about instead of complaining about the bug, you just compile and report as much information as you can? the faster they get information about why/how, they can fix it.
happened to me yesterday in Kyhlo, mesmer stomp, first death of the match.

" It’s not an issue of “bad coding” on Anet’s behalf. " – So you know exactly what is going on behind the scenes then? Thats YOUR opinion that YOU think its not down to bad coding, that doesnt make it the truth.
“That’s why your operating system is patched weekly” – Most of the time Patches are released to combat some sort security issue and seeing as how virus/wurms/trojans are always in motion, always updating and changing of course this would be needed.
“That’s why your browser is patched so often” – Based on the Browswer, yes. I use FireFox and rarely gets updated and as with the OS its mostly down to protection rather then fixing issues (unlike what GW2 should be doing)
The simple thing is – Had they actually spent time TESTING patches and updates then half these issues would have been found out. like i have said before like RTL and MG they SAID themselves that they had “fixed” them yet within minutes of playing the new update you could see that they were not fixed and actually made worse in cases
just had it after getting killed by cata, no stomp, think i looked at the score board (nothing else to do in that 15secs) so that might be the cause, seriously annoying..
on a side note.. invisible thiefs no longer can hold or take points? ive just noticed that during this last match.. kinda annoying.. completely ruins my attrition build in tpvp i can understand why it would be annoying in wvw but really was this neccessary?
This has been happening to me with increasing frequency. Although one minor saving grace is that if you are in a tournament and it locks up, you can close GW2, and when you log back in it will place you back in your game/map. Instead of bumping you to heart of the mists like if you were in a hotjoin game.

Again, you obviously have no idea how software development work, or how “coding” is actually done. Here’s a hint, you don’t just go into work in the morning and say “you know, I’m going to fix this bug” and have it miraculously changed by lunch with just a few keypresses and a working knowledge of a few coding languages. If things were anywhere near that easy, there would never be bugs at all.
As for operating systems and browsers, you’re really that clueless? What do you think a “security issue” actually is? “Viruses/wurms[sic]/trojans” aren’t magical little computer fairies that sprinkle evil dust on your machine. They’re explicitly coded programs that take advantage of bugs in the browser or operating system to cause certain undesired operations on your system. When Microsoft patches out a specific vulnerability, it often causes its own undesired operation on the machine. If not, many times it opens a brand new hole that malicious users take advantage of to cause these issues. It’s the exact same issue as Anet faces with GW2 or Blizzard with SC or Trion with Rift or Riot with LoL. Every one of those pieces of software has this same issue, and acting like it’s somehow unique to Guild Wars 2 would be funny if it weren’t so pathetic.
As for the coding being “my opinion?” Really? You think that’s an opinion, yet somehow your claim that it’s incredibly poor coding is somehow fact? Are you 12? The number of bugs, and the speed at which bugs have been resolved by Anet is not any worse than any other MMO. In fact, if I had to guess one way or another, I’d say that Guild Wars 2 has had one of the least rocky launches of an MMO in recent history. Don’t perpetuate your incredible ignorance by saying anything you disagree with is “just your opinion man.”

Again, i am talking more about testing AFTER they have made an Update. What annoys me and many others i would guess is that they LIE about fixing issues and bugs. Its okay for them to come out and say “we are having a bit of trouble trying to fix xxx and please give us time” what i DONT like is them saying a ability/trait/skill is fixed when it actually aint and you can tell within minutes that its not fixed

That’s not what you’re talking about at all. Just look back at the comment that started this: “People like you continue to demand 3 day or less turnaround on bugs.” You’re not asking for testing, you’re demanding that everything be fixed instantaneously without introducing any new issues ever. That’s not realistic.
Furthermore, you’re drastically overstating the frequency of this issue. A large number of players are affected by it, and are affected quite frequently. But another potentially larger group of players have never had it occur, ever. Considering that, it’s very likely that the issue is with the computers used by players having the issue, and not really with the game itself. No amount of internal testing will be guaranteed (or even necessarily grant a high probability) to find such issues. External testing (as in a public test realm) might identify such issues, but that will delay fixes for everything by an extra couple weeks.
As for your “lying” claims, now you’re just trying to look for things to whine about instead of being concerned about real things. I know from your other post that you’re referencing RTL. That change might not have “fixed” it how you want it to be fixed, but it’s certainly improved over how it worked before.

Not once have i demanded that all the bugs be fixed in under 3 days. I simply think that they need to work on the Testing system they use – if they use one at all.
endless loading screen in temple of silent storm.
downed by a thief coming out of stealth, stomped by an ele.
Sorry there hasn’t been any updates about this. We are currently testing a fix internally. The issue does effect the whole game, but because players see the load screen so much more often in PvP, this player base is affected more. It also has nothing to do with what profession stomped you :P

why internally? this bug makes tPvP unplayable without loosing mind… i think that it cant be worse then it is now

The question is, why do we have to see the loading screen every time we respawn in such small maps? Remove the loading screen for every respawn and the problem with stucking at the loading screen during pvp tournaments will be gone. Two rabbits with one stone – we(the players) don’t waste time to watch the loading screen over and over again, and you(the devs) don’t waste time to fix problems that shouldn’t be there in the first place.
I know its a lot easier said then done and most likely it will not happen in the foreseeable future, but that’s not the most efficient way to deal with this issues, and efficiency was the primary topic in ArenaNet’s conference at GDC Online last month.

Dont wanna read through everything but this problem seems to be rampant lately. From what Ive seen it has something to do with thief stealth spike, when characters are downed. An opposing thief seems to be exploting it earlier, everytime one of us was downed he would stealth and finish then bam loading bug.
3 loading screens in same game for 3 different team members and one loading screen on the opponent’s team. How can this be more of a joke ? Even Minesweeper has better PVP then this.
