Would be nice if spvpers could complete tasks in spvp to get something equivalent to map completion. This would go a long way to make things a bit more fair for spvpers when it comes going for a legendary.

I agree. My auto-run-through-Tyria idea didn’t pan out.

Seriously, though. I’m not making a legenkitten, but I did find out that my adept traits are locked until I do some random thing in a lvl 60 map (my mesmer is lvl 36). This makes me so salty. ~_~

Yea man I hear ya I tried putting in the effort to map comp but its so so dam boring!! Its not hard either just time consuming. I wouldn’t mind something with increase difficulty and similar time frame to map comp but spvp related.

Map completion was the single most boring thing I have ever done in this game.

Don’t get me wrong – strolling around and enjoying the excellent work of art that is the pve map is great – running around to uncover every waypoint/vista/heart/poi is mind numbingly tedious.

No that would take too long, we both don’t even have Champ Brawler yet, and it’s been nearly two years! I’ve done map completion like 4 times already, and that only takes a month.

Maybe not the rewards from map completion but maybe the “Gift Of Adventure” or whatever it’s called by itself, for some sort of PVP currency..

I’d suggest making the Region PvP tracks character bound, and then as you complete each one you get the map area for it finished. But then I’d also make the region tracks about 3 times longer just so you can’t get it done too fast.

You can complete the map in less than 3 days. I used a full zerker sword/horn + GS warrior. You run across the map in 5 secs and kill everything in 5 secs.

Honestly completing the map is much faster than it looks like. It is boring as kitten but not that bad.

3 days?!? Is that 3 days solid – 18 hours a day?

Took me a month of semi-casual, semi-focused play IIRC.

It’ll take you 3 days if you go full hardcore and barely sleep. I recommend paying a trustworthy friend a couple hundred gold and paying them to map for you while you sleep or something, it saves yourself the pain and while they will be bored out of their mind at least they will be getting something in return.

The thing is that Anet promised ‘PvP Legendaries’. This was not true, as alot things werent. We get PvE legendaries. I guess it’s too hard to make a PvP system to earn one, or just a replacement for the map comp. Guess we are tricked again.

Oh and yes, map comp is a pain.
