I’m not here to name names or call people out, but I feel like this is worth discussing.

I’ve been playing this game since a few months after launch, have several thousand games played. A few hundred of those being on thief, so I’m very familiar with all the teleports they have.

What I am seeing happening is a large number of thieves using teleport hacks, probably because it hides well considering they already have several teleport skills. Some of them are so blatant that they will used the downed teleport skill 2-3 times in rapid succession. It’s not search and rescue, or necro 4. They are traveling back and forth across the map using a teleport that matches shadowstep but without the graphical flair animation that usually accompanies it (and several times per the standard cooldown period).

I’m wondering if others have been noticing the same thing because I’m seeing it on a daily basis now, and not only limited to thieves.

I wrote full ticket with screenshots and name of the guy that was hacking. Customer support response:
“Do you happen to have any more information about this person? their display name? did they ever admit to what they were doing in game?”

if they had looked into it, they would have concluded st like: “he uses his stuns all the time.. thats so smart. sign of a good player.”

but srsly thats kittened up. they couldve said “we are useless” instead. same meaning.

actually issue was that guy was porting across the map instantly w/o using any teleport skills and even during fight he wasn’t actually running around but porting to random places

given it is harder to track on mesmer but even mesmer can teleport only so much and definitely not port across the map w/o using portal….

anet can track those things (they said this is how they tracked xmas JP exploiters) but i guess in pvp case they are not interested

i am not even going mention he had close to no CDs on spells that actually have long CD….. there were 4 gravity wells at the same time on point just from him
