Match Making System Suggestion Box
I’d support the first suggestion. I think the main thing holding that back is that there would have to be a lock on character switching—no switching after queue pops or after entering the match.
The second suggestion already exists in solo arena. Hopefully something similar can be done for when two pug groups face each other in team arena.

I don’t see a problem with ppl changing professions before the game starts but the system should not allow them to change to a profession that already has 2 elements in the same team.
As for the second, I don’t think it already exists, I have seen and been into several matches were the winder is decided even before the match starts, since all high rated players are all in the same team and low ranked players in the other, this should never happen.
If it is the case that there is no other team of the same rating available to face them they should be split between the 2 teams to have an even fight, I don’t believe this is happening wight now.
I think MMR needs to be something that changes much more slowly. It seems like every time I win 4-5 in a row I end up in a match against people with Legendary Champion titles and phoenix/dragon finishers, on both sides, and then I end up hurting my team and losing a bunch in a row because, quite frankly, I’m not that good. If I win 5 very close matches in a row, it doesn’t mean I need to be matched against better players. In fact, it means I’m matched with exactly who I should be matched with (because the matches are close).
Granted, if there are insufficient players in the queue people are bound to be mismatched. I also don’t know exactly how MMR is calculated. But the most frustrating aspect of match making in this game, for me, is the ping pong of wrecking new players in one match and then getting wrecked by much better players in the next one.
I’m fine with losing. I’m not fine with non-competitive play.
I would be happy if they introduced a system like the dungeon finder in wow or the team builder in League of Legends where u select ur role before u start and than are matched automaticly with people looking for that role.
I honestly think that the games are more often decided through the wrong teamcomposition rather than MMR.
