Match System is Flawed
A dead horse that needs more beatings.
The fact of the matter is that the state of PvP is a complete joke because of this. A game that should be one of the best casual PvP games on the market has become one of the worst because of the ridiculous decision to remove separate solo queues.

to add some oil: i made new account, for NA (since my main is on EU), made a character, lv 2, fresh, 0 archives, 0 games… went in ranked, first game vs full premade/dragon finishers flying everywhere… i thought: “wow, that would have been some epic experience for a noob”
i mean i am not noob, but game can’t possibly know it… or can it lol?

Well the problem here with single queue mentality is that, the only statistic that counts is win or lose.
This is why so many are complaining, as there is nothing to judge personal performance (there is score, but that doesnt say someone did an awesome job bunkering home).
But that is the problem of the mixed queue’s like that. If there were a way to judge personal performance people would be less concerned about win/loss.
I think they had said something about points for how long you hold a point in the near future.
If they tie that to the person sitting on the point as well, maybe points could become something to view.
But as long as it stays a solo queue that doesnt match up team comps, it will always be RNG deciding win/loss.
Luck of the draw even if the queues are split into team and solo.

In all fairness the system is pretty bad, and the more we keep banging on about it the better the chances something might happen.

Not surprising at all. Teams are usually vastly different in their skill levels.

Well, I mean I did say it needs more beatings. The Engineers were finally able to beat their dead horse long enough to get those ugly backpacks removed in the upcoming Specializations update. Maybe we can make PvP queues functional again.
