Being in Division Ruby, it’s not really fair when my team suffers when one or more players disconnect out of a match. I lose progress and they get an easy win.

Could a change be made to where if there is a disconnect, no one wins or loses a pip?

It’s already in effect—if a player’s gone for 120+ seconds, losing team suffers no pip loss.

I personally think this is about right—not everybody has a current-gen computer with a solid state drive and a fast internet connection, so shortening it would punish players who can’t afford an $800+ computer or who live in areas where 50+Mb/s internet isn’t available. Yet at the same time, 2 minutes out of a 10 minute match is HUGE to be 4v5 and guarantees a loss.

I don’t see an easy solution to this.

I WOULD like to see some implementation for punishment/mitigation for repeated D/C’s within, say, a 12 hour period. Perhaps a forced hiatus without dishonor/MMR change as a polite way of saying “fix your internet, scrub” for people with more than 4 D/C’s in 12 hours.

To give a time frame for a reconnect here. I have an M.2 x4 SSD and 120/15Mb/s internet on an overclocked i7 6700k. I just tested this with an alt-F4 in hotjoin, going from first click of launcher to actually in-game took me 97 seconds.

For someone running a SATA hard drive or still stuck with DDR2 RAM, you can basically triple that. Which would put them over the threshold for pip loss.

But there are very few rigs that should be able to reconnect consistently faster.
