what’s wrong with the matchmaker? it’s completely ignoring prof distribution across 2 teams. conquest is impossible to win with a pug when specs and profs are skewed a certain way. in the least, the match is comical.

example: just got out of a game with 4 guards and one d/d cele ele on one team, and 2 thieves, necro, mes and engie on the other. our thieves were impaling themselves on the two medi guards, which is the way of life I guess. i got a ton of kills as glass necro, and my buddy on his PU Mesmer held one point, which is all we had all game.

this match is not an exception. these crazy distributions occur all the time. just letting the devs know that the matchmaker does not consider prof distribution, period.

just another game, exactly the same. 4 guards against a bunch of glass (also bad players so that didn’t help). Justin, what are your plans to fix this silliness man? this isn’t pvp.

You can thank people running duo classes. Just the other day I got matched up against a deliberate 5 thieve comp. Justin has no power over that.

I will say that i’ve seen more and more duo stacking teams, vs solo class stacking players. I applaud matchmaking for doing that… it could also be very bad if it’s one sided like two Guardians vs two Thieves. But to be honest, Thieves shouldn’t go head to head like that; they should have played the guardian’s and rotated the map. So it’s also a l2p issue but I could be wrong.

Whenever I see class stacking, it’s usually either intentional stacking (duo queue) or that class’s daily.

I don’t know about you, but I can think of a pure engi-group-comp that performs totally fine and doesn’t involves turreteers.

I say it would be bad to prevent same classes to stack in a pug group since most classes have builds that cover various roles.

unless you want to play meta-builds only in your group, in which case you also should consider running with 4 others in a balanced pre-made comp.
