I’m a pretty average pvp player, and I’ve played on and off since release. I have like 4ish champ titles, so I’m not that hardcore, but I enjoy it and have played in the previous tournament setups, etc.

Queuing up with a friend today who’s above average; we lost 3 in a row. One was pretty close, the others we pretty much got slaughtered. Okay, it happens. 4th game we get paired against 1 guy from abjured and another 2-man premade. I really don’t understand how matchmaking is supposed to work. Even if I really suck shouldn’t I – once and a while – be on the better team? Shouldn’t it always try to get me around 50%? I haven’t played in a while, because the last time I tried it was the same thing – lost like 4 games in a row. Once a week maybe before I would pop into tpvp and (with the exception of 2 wins last night), I don’t think I’ve won game in a month. Even if I am the world’s kittentiest pvp player, this should not happen. Aside from all the god awful balancing with the new professions, this is quite frustrating.

Matchmaking is terrible. I literally get teamed with first time players against tournament winners on a regular basis.

I looked up your history and see that your rating is pretty high, but you took a long break from rated arenas for a while. Your win rate since returning isn’t great. This could be for many reasons, but this is something that should be accounted for in matchmaking.

One of the features of Glicko is that when not playing your rating gets more volatile over time. It is assumed that your rating becomes less confident after periods of inactivity. This means that once you do start playing again your rating should adjust quickly to your new skill level. I reviewed the code as I didn’t see this happen with your rating and found a bug I’ll be fixing hopefully before leagues begin.

Bra (80 Guard), Fixie Bow (80 Ranger), Wcharr (80 Ele)
Xdragonshadowninjax (80 Thief)

He said he has 4 champ titles so he might play more than one class… what a shock.
Pls don’t use every thread so spread your salt… if this goes on we will never have snow this winter.

It’s not called playing if you do it on a thief or a berserker. It is called betraying your team.

I have the exact same issue, it’s becoming quite frustrating losing 10ish matches vs 4ish wins only EVERY day…
