I have read posts explaining how pips reward system based on win/lose prediction is broken.
However, I have been wondering of the matchmaking system is broken too since that algorithm has been established for quite a while.
I guess, I’m a living example to prove it’s not quite working. The goal of the system is to bring player’s win rate closer to 50% on a long term. However, after playing close to 200 ranked arena this season, my win rate is at low of 43%. Especially, in the last week, having a losing streaks of 5 to 8 matches were not uncommon for me. Pips rewards aside, the matchmaking system isn’t really showing its results for me.
I guess that’s why people have been saying not solo queuing. With meta build issues and such, i guess there are just too many randomness adding to the complexity.
