I got to rank 40 before I quit for a month or two, I just came back.
Probably because he solo queues and plays for fun. Playing noobs is not fun. Put a Level 20 Glory Rank Requirement on Tournaments and the problem is solved.

Agreed. Even 10. And yeah, I’m looking forward to the leaderboards separating soloque & not.

If hotjoins were bearable, I’d be okay with a rank requirement for tournaments. Unfortunately, forcing people to play hotjoins at this point would not be healthy for the game’s population. Hopefully that will change after this patch…
10 would be okay. I got to 8 with hotjoin only(only a few tournaments for some of the monthly achievements back then that required 3 tournament match wins).
But 20… this is taking some time. With the touranment 200 additional reward for wins it took me like 10 days playing(and I played a lot). Will take too long with hotjoin only.
People would be bored and instead of getting more players this would make the game die slowly. (All the new ones will stop before reaching 20 and the people).
