As most of you know after 300 points in game none of what you do counts towards rank exp. The only thing you can do for rank afterwards is make sure you get top player awards.
So in any given game the most rank exp you can come out of it is roughly 400.

I’ve seen the bear, and shark animations as well as some of the armor you unlock from those ranks. I’d love to get there sometime in the future, and I’d be very close to the mid 50s by now If it weren’t for the cap.

Tourny matches can give upwards to 500 rank exp, but at the level of competition I’m at winning is never guaranteed, so hotjoins would still be faster.

My question is why have a cap to begin with? Surely it can’t be to prevent glory/rank farmers. I get way more rank, and faster by playing a real match than any farmer could do playing with a friend, or 2.
Could we possibly see the cap lifted, or at least raised to around 500.

With rank gain comes glory gain. I’m currently sitting on a pile of 300,000 glory. With every piece of armor from r1-r40 for light, medium, and heavy armor, and most tourny armor/weapons (excluding some rares that cant be forged).
What do I do with this glory now? Make dyes?

How about converting it to money.
Say 1:1/glory:copper.
As stated above, at the current rank/glory cap the most you get in any given game is roughly 400, and matches last anywhere from 5-10 (often longer). so 4 silver every 8 minutes or so is nothing compared to what you could do in PvE, but it allows some of our hardcore PvPers a way to jump in to PvE and get armor, weapons, trinkets and more to enjoy what the rest of the game has to offer. By allowing us the make money by doing something we enjoy. Instead of sitting in Curse Shore, or running CoF over and over. Allow us to make money by doing well in matches.

Those are just a few things that have been running through my mind, as I inch my way to that shark finisher.
Which I’ll reach by the end of the year at this rate.
