Should be affected by the size of our character. For a long time its bother me why asura has 130 range same as my charr, on top of that harder/some animations even impossible to see coming without mentioning the wep itself he wielding. Its completely makes no sense. Bigger toons should have highter range.

I did. And if u see any problem, explain it why exacly u think its would be wrong. As it is now i see 90% pvp playerbase playing asura, but i guess thats okay right?

From my point of view, it actually makes sense. Just don’t tell me that the longer sword in RL will have the same range as shorter sword.

In RL if a ball of fire impacts you or you get shocked by lightning, you don’t keep going your merry way about it either.

But somehow my warrior can eat about 7-8 fireballs until he dies.

It makes sense. Want to have advantage of almost non-readable animations? Play asura. Want to have advantage of longer reach with melee weapons – play norn or charr. Current population of minimal size asura characters is ridiculous.

Well explain me why asura should have advantage over everything else? Also explain me why greatsword shares the same range with a..dagger? I simply don’t getting it. Am i wielding a big bad long weapon, or a dagger stylisted for a gs and such?

Ya then nobody will be playing human or sylvari in PvP. Will either be asura or norn not to mention if someone is playing born they will make their height and everything else maxed out and if their playing a sura they will make everything the smallest. Sounds lame. Solution? Take asura out of PvP. Yay. Reason? You’ll only be taking out one race compared to messing up two of them.

Why exacly?

Asura – subtle animations, extremely short range
Human, Sylvari – average animations, average range
Charr, Norn – telegraphed attacks, high range.

Still i don’t think that every single melee weapon in this game should have 130 range as it makes no sense whatsoever.

animations are unreadable on every class, since most weapon skills use similar animations / have a casttime at 0.5s / dont have a casttime at all / can be used while moving

IMHO: More skills should lock the player in place, have slightly longer casttimes or very unique animations.
What NOT should be changed is the autoattack range of different races, since this is just nonsense.

Norn has the best racial elite ability by far…. they need to re-balance the racial elites.

I don’t agree with this idea – there would be no point in using anything but the larger classes if it were implemented.

And right now theres no reason to use anything else than the smaller possible asura, everything else is putting ya at disadvantage. Btw u can’t use racials in spvp.

just add option to view asura same size as humans…

ppl who like asura, will still see them as small “cuties”
ppl who want to be able to see animation, will be able to do so by activation the option

asura’s unreadable animations as well as vague hitbox is indeed a problem, but changing range depending on race is bad solution imo

It is not olny about the race. It is about weapons in general. Tell me its not silly to have dagger and gs both at 130 range? Did u saw a dagger and a greatsword? How come they can share the same range? So does sword, hammer and basically every single melee weapon is 130 range ignoring the size of the weapon. Its simply dumb
