While I dont get this issue in game as much as some claim they get, the times I do is very frustrating >__<

The skill is a crippling clone generator, a stun breaker and inflicts rooting on teleport.
Perhaps make it less god-mode in that regard first before calling for a fix to pathing, however warranted bug fixing otherwise is.
After the clone is generated, the teleport in effect functions as a stun breaker (a-la staff n2 style port/stunbreak). In the past I would try to fear the mesmer after noticing the crippling clone, esp if I was out of dodges, but that normally didn’t amount to more than a wasted cc.

idk how they want to make a competitive environment in a game where so much is decided due to rng. It’s not only the pets, its also the teleport that sometimes will work, sometimes won’t, god knows why. And it didnt use to be this bad until they tried to “fix it” in a patch awhile back.
Karla it works as a stun break yes but it also has a symbol on the mesmer indicating that they can use it, fearing a mesmer while the Illusionary Leap is up is like fearing someone with stability up and blaming them. The skill is bugged and needs fixed thats what this thread is about. Calling Mesmer sword #3 OP when there are thieves running around with sword #2 is laughable.

That’s what happen when a whole class is set for AI. There are always problems with it. However, if you’re close enough the skill works perfectly and is as Karla said it allrdy pretty powerful if timed right.

Mesmer staff 2 doesn’t break stun. It just moves the mesmer. He’s still stunned. Swap does however. (Sword 2 chain skill.)

I know how the icon looks like. As I said, when I’d be out of dodges I’d try to fear them on reflex, but that sure was a wasted effort. Drawing analogies to stability is rather funny..especially because the stun break is likely an unintended bonus to the skill.
Mes sword has been the best mes mainhand, and topples many other proff’s mainhands by far due to the multiple key functions all joined up in a single skill.
If s/d ever gets nerfed, mes sword should be looked at next.
At SteepledHat, good to know; that is exactly how the sword swap teleport should work too.
So you have a twitch reflex you need to not give in to, everyone has that – you need to not shatter if suddenly a block appears etc. its not the blocks fault you wasted your skills hitting it… Also dont talk to me about unintended bonuses from a necro’s point of view lol procs, my main source of weakness also causes 2 bleeds and has a damage component guess that means it can crit too yay, oh good my auto spectral armour gives me deathshroud at a rate faster than i lose it while in death shroud and hey even my armour can fear through blurred frenzy yay. At least Mes Sword needs to be activated…
Mesmer Sword #3 has really bad pathing and i cannot imagine the designers wanted the skill to function unless there is a slight incline so its a bug and I’m asking for it to be fixed.
