I know Mesmers are not in the best state due to s/d thieves, but stowing the weapon on greatsword to avoid the aftercast of greatsword autoattack is actually an exploit that should be looked at since not everyone is playing thief.

And for all mesmer players it must be annoying to stow weapon constantly just to get the maximum dps out of it.

Stow weapon = bug , fix this asap , for everyone

Have you even seen the list of mesmer bugs? There are 30+ bugs that need fixing. I honestly don’t think this is a real issue.

Talking about trolls or no brains:
1. He never said anything about removing stow weapon
2. If its a bug, and not intended to work this way. Its supposed to be fixed. Which might include a skill change, not a stow weapon change

How about fixing some bugs that would actually make the mesmer more useful instead of fixing the minor bugs that only cripple them more? Think the mesmer has already gotten enough crippling ‘fixes’ lately.

They really should remove stow weapon when in combat. It’s 100% an exploit and making things perform differently than intended.

If they want to fix that for mesmer, they should as well for every other class. I don’t have a list, but there are a lot of abilities with aftercasts that can be bypassed by stowing your weapon (i actually haven’t even a key bound for stow weapon so i wouldn’t feel it, but mesmers have way bigger problems atm).

Stow weapon is one of those things that’s adding skillcap to the game but at the same time it’s also hurting balance.

Is stowing weapons to Juke opponents a valuable and interesting game mechanic? Yes

Is using Stow weapon to cancel attacks Mechanically spamming buttons a meaningful and fun gameplay mechanic? Not to me

Is it fun to watch/Skillful play? Look here john, mesmer a is clearly superior mechanically to mesmer b as he’s jamming his capslock intermittenly with his auto attack.

Are faster auto attacks that are completely unintended for mesmers good for the game?

The problem is that this is easily macroable and leads to exploits, unbalanced gameplay in any scenario other then 100% controlled anet LAN tournaments.

IMHO kill the after cast or add a iCD to Auto attacks on all classes 1/4th-1 seconds will do.

Fix it, but please fix Sword 3 too ^^
